Meet the brutally honest mummy bloggers who are opening up about the awkward sex talks and post baby bodies… and some of their posts might make you cringe
These mums have all won millions of followers, by showing parents they are not alone
THANKS to social media, it's no longer necessary for stay-at-home mums to feel isolated from the outside world.
Popular mummy bloggers can now rack up more than a million followers on sites like Instagram and Facebook and, for many of them, no topic is off limits.
Whether the ladies are proudly showing off their stretch marks, breaching the dreaded sex talks or giving a refreshingly honest account of their down days - they are sure to make parents feel better about their own struggles.
Some of the candid posts may make you cringe a bit, while others break down taboos. Here's a mummy blogger's tongue-in-cheek guide to parenting...
Stripped bare
Last year, one mum went viral for her frank take on motherhood - as she stripped down to her undies and exposed her stretch marks for the post.
Mel Watts blogs under the name , and has 150,000 followers on Instagram.
In the hugely liked post, from July 2016, she discussed her anxiety, exhaustion and general stress of everyday life - while sharing the below picture of her post baby body.
"The amount of pressure we put ourselves isn't fair. We aren't invincible. We're humans and we're mothers," she wrote.
"I didn't have the motivation to even get dressed for the first nine months, let alone get my pre-baby body back.
"And that's ok. If you do have the motivation good on you! Life challenges us daily. We are given new obstacles every single day. There's always tomorrow!"
The birds and the bees
Outspoken mum-of-four Constance Hall tackled the sex talk head on - with a candid Facebook post about sex, which she wrote for her sons to read when they're older.
Constance, who is followed by 1.16 million people on Facebook, advised her kids away from "boys talk" and asked them to always speak about women "the way you want your sisters spoken about".
She also discussed periods and asked her sons to "buy the tampons", and warned that women "need more than just d**k".
But for Mel, who's previously posted about having a quickie with her husband, it's fair to say the sex chat caught her more off-guard.
She was forced to discuss the birds and the bees with her nine-year-old son, after he HEARD her having sex and asked: "I thought dad didn't want another baby?"
Apparently, her son took it all in his stride - casually asking if she could "keep it down" when having sex in the future.
The vagina monologues
Ironically known as , Zoe George's most infamous post is one most pregnant ladies should probably avoid.
In the astonishingly frank post, the Aussie teacher said her first child "broke my vagina" and recalled how her pelvic floor started "farting" after she had her son.
Before you start totally freaking out Zoe,, later explained that her son was born two weeks late - and had to be delivered via forceps.
Bore off
Stay-at-home mum Laura Mazza, of the Mum On The Run blog, has bravely said the four words parents are normally too terrified to utter - that life with the kids can be "a little bit boring".
Referring to her pre-baby self as delusional, she added: "If I didn’t have my phone I think I’d go insane.
"If there wasn’t nap times to look forward to I think I’d be admitted (to hospital).
"It makes me feel guilty. I spend some moments utterly bored out of my brain but so consumed in thought that I’m on autopilot and forget to enjoy my children."
Laura, , has also urged people to not judge mothers without knowing the full story - in a powerful Facebook post.
C how it is
Blogger Olivia White, of the House of White blog, was sick of people thinking cesareans are an easy way out - and decided to enlighten them with a picture taken shortly after surgery.
The mum, who, said she felt "like a gutted shark who had the body parts of the surfer it ate retrieved, that's then sewn back together with fishing wire while it feels like your vital organs are trying to escape".
She added: "If it wasn't for the ability to deliver my babies this way they might not be here today. Plus I reckon getting cut from A to B sounds way worse."
A quick sex-periment
Sophia Cachia decided to share in explicit detail how she and her husband tried having sex as a way to bring on labour.
Posting as , she joked: "When you're an overdue sweaty walrus and you need this baby to come out, you do what you gotta do.
"And when you're the husband of this highly hormonal overdue sweaty walrus, you do what you're told."
Sophia added: "Sex was literally the last thing on my mind, so as I got in position on hands and knees, whilst eating an apple and watching Suits, Jaryd came from behind and did what he needed to do. Literally."
Stop taking the p***
Californian mum Kristina Kuzmic, who runs a YouTube parenting channel, came up with a hilarious solution to the age old problem of men weeing on the toilet seat.
She wrote six different notes for her son - and left them in and around the toilet seat - including "Don't pee here", "Not a pee area" and "Pee in this hole".
Her Facebook post really struck a chord, and was shared more than 150,000 times.
