THE GLITTERATI

These are the biggest glitter trends of 2017 so far… so would YOU be brave enough to try them?

BRITAIN has gone glitter mad, with thousands of girls - and guys - covering themselves in the sparkly stuff for this summer's festivals and clubbing holidays.

While some brave party animals have chosen to leave their clothes at home, and rely on glitter to cover their modesty. These are the biggest glitter trends of 2017 so far...

The root of it all

Best paired with French plaits, the glitter roots look has been popular everywhere from Glastonbury to Ibiza pool parties this summer.

There's a whole range of glitter-related hair products out there - from hairspray to special hair glitter.

It's probably best avoided if you have a sensitive scalp though!

Brow down

As a nation, we're totally obsessed with eyebrows - thanks to a whole wave of brow-blessed models like Cara Delevingne.

So it was only a matter of time before sparkle fans started covering their brows with glitter and gems.

It may look cool, but it's a nightmare to get out. You've been warned...

Hair they come

Glitter beards were all the rage at this summer's annual Gay Pride events.

Created by Instagram stars The Gay Beards in 2015, this craze won't be going away anytime soon.

The pair have even made a handy YouTube tutorial, to help you recreate their signature look.

Getting tongues wagging

Make-up artist Jacinta Vukovic claims to have created this craze by accident - after spilling glitter on her tongue while doing glitter lips.

But this is one look we really wouldn't recommend, as glitter definitely isn't made for eating.

Why the sad face?

Your teenage emo phase has been given a sparkly makeover, thanks to the rise of rainbow tears.

The look involves dabbing glitter and gems under your eyes, and they're certainly some of the happiest 'tears' we've ever seen.

Louis' sister Lottie Tomlinson explains how to recreate the look using Primark cosmetics in this tutorial.

Cracking idea

London-based Gypsy Shrine make-up artist Mia Kennington is the woman to thank for the bizarre glitter bum trend.

Glitter butts is for the body-brave only as you have to wear a barely-there leotard or a pair of micro shorts to really show it off.

Mia recommends rubbing hair gel on your cheeks, sprinkling on the glitter and then setting it with hairspray - but she hasn't revealed the best way to get it off afterwards.

Breast dressed

Glitter boobs are a beauty trend which sees women covering their breasts in sparkly paint, multi-coloured gems and nipple tassles.

Also dubbed "disco t*ts", the brave look is really taking off and was hugely popular at Glastonbury 2017 - partly thanks to the unusually nice weather.

Yves Saint Laurent even featured the look in their SS17 show, but it still turns A LOT of heads in the street - as our model found out.

Body double

Just when we thought we'd seen it all, glitter fans started ditching their clothes completely and covering themselves from head-to-toe in multi-coloured sparkles.

The glitter body suit trend is the brain child of cosmetic company Go Get Glitter - and it's definitely not for the fainthearted.
