Celine Dion’s fashion hits and misses… from a winning mini dress to a bizarre snakeskin coat

SHE is best known for belting out classic ballads and singing the theme song to Titanic.

But putting music aside, Celine Dion is on a mission to overhaul her wardrobe.

The five-time Grammy winner has become an unlikely fashion icon - even though her style evolution hasn't always been seemless.

THE HITS

60s siren

In 2017, Celine turned up at Paris Couture Fashion Week and made an instant impact with her outfit choices.

The first to win praise was this floral mini dress with ruffle sleeves from the Italian fashion house Giambattista Valli.

The Canadian songstress then completed the winning look with a pair of knee-high red boots from the same label.

Floral fancy

In another appearance in Paris in 2017, Celine showed ultimate #stylegoals, with this bright outfit.

Fashionistas couldn't get enough of the embellished, floral Gucci coat that she teamed with a pair of green trousers.

The look was complete with a green bag and trademark big diva sunglasses.

Laidback casual

Celine must have taken a very big suitcase to Paris in 2017 as another of her winning looks came from the same trip.

In another hit she went top to toe in Dior and sported a canary yellow shirt-dress with a black belt.

She accessorised with a black bag that was also from the French fashion house.

Down in dungarees

The whole look may have cost an eye-watering £85,000.

But Celine looked a million dollars in this leather Givenchy all-in-one earlier this year in Paris.

She teamed it with Gucci sunglasses, Giuseppe Zanotti stilletos and a Hermes Himalayan crocodile Birkin bag.

THE MISSES

Animal magic

Celine's 2017 trip to Paris wasn't a complete fashion hit.

As this outfit proves, there are still times when the singing diva is a little off the mark.

And fans weren't too impressed with this £20,000 ensemble of a floor-length snakeskin coat, tiger T-shirt, Balmain hat and suede thigh-high boots.

Cat lady

Back in 1996, Celine was at the height of her singing fame and toured the world showing off her incredible voice.

But some of her stage outfits weren't exactly fashion forward.

Take this leather all-in-one suit that she wore in Cannes, France during her D'eux tour.

Back to the future

Being a singing superstar, it often means that Celine is the centre of attention.

But at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, she was in the spotlight for the wrong reasons.

Mainly due to this bizarre eye-catching floor-length gown.

Tied up

Celine, 49, is known for having a great figure.

But this top and trouser combo does nothing to flatter it.

The top is from Dice Kayek, while the trousers are by Celine, shoes are Tom Ford and the handbag is from her own collection.
