Love shopping at ASOS? Here are 7 tips to get the best deals plus a special 15% discount
With the party season just around the corner, these helpful, money-saving hints couldn't come at a better time
IF YOU'RE about to embark on an epic ASOS shopping spree, hold fire for just a moment.
To help you bag the best deals, we’ve come up with a handy list of seven top money-saving tips. So, grab a cuppa and get scrolling – your bank balance will thank you for it.
Save your basket for later
One cunning tip to save cash is to hold back on buying straight away.
ASOS allow you to store your must-have items in your basket for up to 60 days, so in the meantime, you can hang on to see if it gets reduced or if a discount code becomes available.
Saving stuff for later doesn’t reserve the item for you – after 60 minutes it’s automatically moved from your shopping bag to your saved items list.
But once it’s there you can keep tabs on whether it’s becoming low on stock – if need be, you can snap it up quick before it sells out.
ASOS Rewards Scheme
Early this year the online shopping outlet launched its A-list loyalty programme, giving shoppers five points for every £1 spent on the site.
These points are converted into vouchers, which can get customers money off future purchases.
For example, if a shopper spends £100, they will earn 500 points – bagging them a £5 discount voucher.
Be careful though – your points expire if you don’t shop on the site for six months.
Happy Birthday!
It’s a simple trick, but on the ASOS A-list nets you a 15 per cent discount on your special day, as well as double points for two days if you’re part of the rewards scheme.
Make money from your purchases
Yes, you heard us right - there is a way you can literally get paid for your ASOS shop.
We recommend signing up to websites like TopCashBack or Quidco, which offer cashback on items bought from major retailers.
To earn money from what you buy, you access the shop through a link on the cashback website, which means any purchase made will be registered.
Retailers will offer either a percentage of what you spend or an actual sum.
You still receive your item directly from where you bought it, and the cashback earned will be added to your online account.
Once it’s there (which can take a few days or sometimes weeks), you can withdraw it and transfer it to your bank account, or you can turn your cashback into a gift voucher or code to spend at a retailer.
Next Day delivery
If you’re a regular (and impatient) ASOS shopper, it may be worth entering into their premier delivery scheme, which costs £9.95 annually.
This means you get unlimited next day delivery and click and collect – which normally costs £5.95 unless you spend more than £100 – for a year, with no minimum order value.
Sign up to the newsletter
ASOS regularly sends discount codes to its customers in their newsletters, so it’s certainly worth signing up to the mailing list.
Sometimes you may be lucky enough to spot a discount code on its social media pages, so it’s worth keeping an eye on them, too.
ASOS make-up
While it’s famed for its fashion, ASOS also has a pretty extensive beauty section – and you can often bag high street favourites for a fraction of the price.
Maybelline mascara, Rimmel foundation and Bourjois eye-liner and lippy are all currently on sale at discounted prices.
So, now you’re armed with these top tips, what are you waiting for?
