What is This Morning’s Be Kind anti-bullying campaign, how can I get a wristband and which celebrities are backing it?
This Morning’s Be Kind Campaign was launched last March and aims help save the lives of young victims of bullying
THIS Morning's Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield launched a campaign called Be Kind last year.
Here's everything you need to know about the anti-bullying campaign as it celebrates its one-year anniversary.
What is This Morning's Be Kind anti-bullying campaign?
This Morning’s Be Kind Campaign was launched last March, following two mothers who appeared on the show to share their tragic stories of how their children took their own lives after being bulled.
The response was so overwhelming after Lucy Alexander, mother of Felix Alexander, 17, and Nicola Harteveld, mother of 14-year-old Megan Evans, spoke that the campaign was launched.
It aims help save the lives of young victims of bullying, and Holly and Phil are urging people to get involved under the hashtag #BeKind.
Viewers and their children are able to watch a video on the so they can understand the importance of speaking out if they’re targeted themselves.
Phillip said: “I think the interviews we did with these poor mums will live with me forever. The stunned grief was heartbreaking. Two lovely young people who, because of bullying felt they had no other option but to take their lives and by doing so, destroy their families.
“If you’re feeling like this PLEASE talk to someone, share how you feel, there is always a solution if you open up. I’m 100% behind this campaign. I hope we can save young lives and show the bullies how catastrophic one tweet, one Snapchat or one text can be.”
Holly added: “We really want this to help children, their families… and even bullies themselves to realise what they are doing.
“It’s fantastic that so many schools have already asked to show our interview to pupils. How much better would the world be if everyone was just that bit kinder to each other?”
Previously, Holly Willoughby fought back tears on This Morning as she comforted guests whose children took their own lives because of constant bullying.
The bubbly presenter couldn’t hide her emotions as she watched her guests tear up as they opened up about their struggle to deal with the loss of their children.
Which celebrities are involved with the Be Kind campaign and how can I help?
Celebrities who have spoken out in support of the campaign include EastEnders' Jasmine Armfield (who plays Bex Fowler).
The actress has been involved in one of the soap's most hard-hitting plots and following her big EastEnders storyline, Jasmine has joined forces with This Morning’s Be Kind Campaign.
Viewers can get involved with the campaign by watching the Be Kind video - and pledging to do so with their children.
