DENIMCOMPOOPS

The most ridiculous jeans trends of 2017 – from mud-coated denim to bum bearing trousers

Fashion designers are charging an arm and leg for the denim disasters

YOU don’t have to be a jean-ius to see the fashion industry has clearly gone mad.

A pair of jeans have always been a classic wardrobe staple but this season designers have turned into denimcompoops.

And they are charging us an arm and a leg for the privilege of wearing these denim disasters.

I want jeans that will always be in style.

Not ones with zips down the bum, or with a section cut out exposing my nether regions.

So I am now begging: Fashion designers, please put down the scissors and stop hacking into our denim.

Designer label Vetements teamed up with Levi’s to come up with this cheeky design.
That’s right, they stuck the zip on the rear. But you’ll need plenty of dough before you zip ’em up and go, go

These jeans look like they belong in the Fifty Shades red room of pain rather than your wardrobe. But you’ll struggle to get your hands on the pricey pair, by French label Y Project, as they have already sold out.

Short shrift

These tiny hotpants, also from Y Project, seem ridiculously pricey, but are part of a detachable pair.

Muddy expensive

Luxury American fashion store Nordstrom have offered pairs of jeans caked in artificial MUD.

On top of that, the crackled, caked-on coating is apparently a sign that the wearer is "not afraid to get down and dirty".

The icing on the cake is that these 100 per cent cotton, dirty-looking kecks will set you back an eye-watering £350.

Rags for riches

Google searches for ripped jeans rocketed 3,650 per cent after Kim Kardashian wore these severely trashed vintage Guccis. Save your cash by grabbing some scissors and sandpaper to customise an old pair.

A bit cheeky

A 2017 denim trend for jeans which zip all the way between the legs and up the bum has been sweeping the internet.

Designer label Vetements were the first to release the cheeky design back in April, and are charging an eye-watering £1,295 for the Levi collaboration - and the privilege of exposing your bum on whim.

This barmy Reformation pair will set you back an eye-watering £113.

Topshop caused a stir when they released these barmy jeans, which are fashioned from see-through PLASTIC.

The £55 daring denim trousers, that had plastic patches at the knees, soon became known as the “worst jeans ever”

Tassel hassle
