A SAVVY woman has revealed that she nabbed herself a gorgeous antique table worth thousands of pounds after rummaging through a skip.
Tina Foster, who is known online as Hyper DIY'er, explained that she used to buy and sell antiques, so was over the moon when she spotted the pricey second-hand table on a building site.
Tina claimed that she was given permission by nearby builders to take the Danish teak coffee table, which is worth over £3,000.
The beautiful piece of furniture is designed by Peter Hivdt and Orla Molgaard-Nielsen.
Tina believes it was made sometime in the 1950s or 1960s.
Posting on social media, the dumpster diver beamed: “I bagged myself a £3,000 table from a skip. Unbelievable, I am absolutely over the moon.”
Tina claimed that as soon as she saw the table, she immediately knew exactly what it was and its worth.
She added: “Fun fact, my mum and I used to wheel and deal in antiques and stuff most of my life. She taught me everything I know. She'd be so proud.”
In the short clip, Tina gave her followers a close-up look at her thrifty find.
She claimed that she "checked it all over" and described it as "absolutely perfect."
The savvy content creator expressed: "It needs restoring, though I will do that, but the legs are fine, the rattan shelf is intact.”
Tina then shared a screenshot of a website selling the item as brand new, listed with a jaw-dropping price tag of £3,203.31.
The DIY and interior styling fan also explained: “I'm under no illusion that I'm gonna get £3,000 for this piece. It is a beautiful piece but to actually get £3,000 for it is very unlikely.”
Despite this, she claimed: “But when I do it up, it will definitely be worth a nice little bit of money, so I'm so excited.”
