I still have my Christmas tree up in mid-February – I’m too lazy to take it down, I’ll keep it up all year now

A MAN has revealed that whilst it might be almost two weeks into February, he still has his Christmas tree up in his living room.
Ryan Ruckledge, a content creator from the UK, claimed that he is too lazy to take his beautifully-decorated tree down, so will now keep it up all year.
Ryan, who first emerged to fame on Big Brother and The X Factor, took to social media to share a close-up look at his jaw-dropping tree, which is still in pride of place in his home, despite it being almost two months since Christmas Day.
As he proudly showed off his tree, which is decorated with large silver and pink baubles, as well as pink and gold ribbon and pampas grass, Ryan, who is from Blackpool, confirmed: “10th of February and my tree is still up.
"For people still asking about the tree, it's still up. I can't be a****d taking it down.”
He then admitted: “It's staying up all year. It's gonna be a seasonal tree, except it's gonna have Christmas decs on.”
Ryan claimed that he had initially decided to keep the tree up but replace the decorations to suit each season.
He originally planned to transform the tree for Easter, summer and Halloween, but has since claimed that he is too lazy to do so.
Subsequently, he claimed: “The full Christmas decs are staying up all year, 24/7. What a lazy t**t.”
The influencer, who has over 194,000 followers on TikTok, then questioned whether any of his followers have still got their Christmas tree up.
He claimed that he “can't be the only one”, but added that because it has been a “certain amount of days over how long you can keep them up, it's bad luck if I take it down”.
As a result, he acknowledged: “So apparently I actually have to keep it up all year. So yeah, the tree is staying up.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 168,300 views in just 15 hours.
Social media users were left in hysterics by Ryan’s video - and many eagerly flocked to the comments to share that they too have not yet taken their Christmas tree down.
Traditionally, many people take down their Christmas trees after the Twelve Days of Christmas, which end on January 5th or 6th (also known as Epiphany).
This marks the arrival of the three wise men in the Nativity story.
However, there’s no strict rule about when to take it down.
Some wait until New Year's Day or shortly after, while others prefer to take it down in the days leading up to or just after the New Year.
Ultimately, it depends on your personal preference or any family traditions you might have.
In some cultures, it's considered bad luck to keep the tree up after January 6th, as it's thought that leaving it up longer could prevent good fortune in the coming year.
However, these are just traditions and superstitions. In reality, there’s no harm in keeping the tree up longer if you enjoy it.
If the tree is still in good shape and you're enjoying the holiday spirit, there's no reason to rush to take it down.
One person said: “Mine’s still up too.”
Another added: “February 10th and mine is still up.”
It’s lovely. Keep it up

A third commented: “Mines still up and it's staying up.”
At the same time, one user praised Ryan’s tree and beamed: “It is a beautiful tree.”
Whilst someone else chimed in: “It’s lovely. Keep it up.”
