FROM aeroplanes shooting out plumes of coloured smoke, to wrestlers in pink or blue outfits fighting each other - gender reveals have become all the more bizarre in recent years.
So when it came to finding out whether she was having a boy or girl, Rachel decided on a more understated reveal, and turned to the sales assistant at the Dior store in Paris to help.
She shared a on her TikTok page, as she explained they'd been told their gender reveal results while they were shopping in the French capital.
"Got our baby's gender results while we were shopping in Paris so we did it at Dior," she began.
Rachel didn't look at the results, but instead came up with a unique way to learn the news.
She held up a blue bag in one hand and a pink in the other, before "handing over" her credit card.
The sales assistant then put the correct bag - blue for a boy or pink for a girl, each of which cost over £5,000 - inside a box, and wrapped it up for them.
Once they were back at the hotel, Rachel and her other half sat down to open the box together - revealing the blue bag inside.
"Baby was craving a Dior bag…" she wrote in the caption.
"Thank you to Sofia at @Dior Paris Champs-Elysées!
"The hardest part was not opening the results ourselves but this was so worth it."
People were quick to comment on the video, with one writing: "I am sorry, I don't speak rich!"
"If I would have just given them my credit card blindly, they would've told me sorry your gender reveal is declineeeeed!" another joked.
"I'd have had to do this in Primark!!" a third laughed.
As someone else said: "I feel broke officially!"
"Honestly this was way cheaper than those big reveal with the powder," Rachel replied.
While others praised her for the "chicest gender reveal" they'd ever seen.
"This is actually so cute because that bag will be a memory and with you forever," one wrote.

Steven and Isabella and friends and family attended an extravagant event at the Belfry Hotel and Resort near Birmingham to find out they were having a baby boy.
"It was worth every second of the hard work to see the happiness in everyone's faces on the day," Ste said, after spending a further £40,000 on the big reveal.

Anonymous couple
One of the most recent jaw-dropping gender reveals happened in May 2024, when a couple decided to DYE a waterfall to reveal if they were having a boy or girl.
After the videos circulated on the social media, the public demanded for the couple to be punished, with some suggesting they should go to jail.
Others were concerned about water contamination, as the pair had used a powdered chemical known as "Blue Lagoon" into the Queima-Pe River, which feeds the waterfall.
"Please wear that bag for all his important events," another said.
"This is so chic! Push present + gender reveal!" a third gushed.
"Ok, gender reveals normally don't really get me in the feels but I love that this gives you a physical reminder of this special moment," someone else wrote.
"And your excitement is so infectious!"
"This is so iconic," another praised.
