SHE thought she looked the part as she donned a smart blazer for an important meeting at work.

But when Sarah looked in the mirror after the meeting, she was left mortified by her accidental style error.

She to recall the embarrassing situation, as she explained that she hadn't had chance to check herself out in the mirror before the event.

"I hadn't looked in the mirror beforehand because car mirrors hurt my feelings," she sighed.

But when she got home from the meeting, which she thought went "really well", she looked in the mirror and was left aghast at what she saw.

She then zoomed the camera out to show what she was talking about - a section of her hair was sticking vertically up from her head.

"Was that it the whole time?"; she gasped.

"Did no-one tell me it was like that the whole time?"

"Omfg #why #hair #embarassingmoments," she added in the caption.

People were quick to take to the comments section to weigh in on the mortifying situation, with one writing: "Please ask your coworkers. I have to know!"

"I would own it. Do it tomorrow," another suggested.

"They will think it is a style!"

I tried the £8 Shein device that’s supposed to remove split ends in seconds - I was scared to even touch it at first… and the result truly shocked me

"I’m dead, your coworkers did you dirty!! Can’t stop watching and laughing," a third commented.

"I’m not grown enough for that job because how did everyone keep a straight face?" someone else said.

"Reminds me of ‘There’s something about Mary’," another wrote.

"The way I just laughed out loud, I'm so sorry," someone else added.

"Omg, I laughed way to hard. I'm sorry no one told you!" another said.

While someone else wrote: "I would be reliving this trauma for the next 60 years."

Hairstyles that are kind to your locks

  1. Loose Braids: Opt for loose, soft braids rather than tight ones to minimise tension on the scalp and reduce breakage.
  2. Low Ponytail: A low ponytail is less stressful on your hair compared to high, tight ponytails. Use a fabric-covered hair tie to avoid snagging.
  3. Messy Bun: A relaxed, messy bun can be both stylish and kind to your hair. Avoid pulling your hair too tightly and use gentle hair ties.
  4. Soft Waves: Embrace your natural texture or use heatless methods to create soft waves, reducing the need for damaging heat styling tools.
  5. Half-Up, Half-Down: This style keeps some hair pulled back while leaving the rest down, reducing the strain on your scalp.
  6. Headbands and Scarves: Using headbands or scarves can keep hair out of your face without causing damage, and they can be quite fashionable.
  7. Loose Plaits for Sleeping: Before bed, loosely plait your hair to prevent tangles and breakage overnight.

"I gasped so loud my son came to see what I was looking at," another admitted.

"Lmao omg!"

"Girl I would tell myself it had to have been the wind on my way back to the car cause the way I’d crash out otherwise if no one told me!" someone else said.

While others admitted they hadn't prepared themselves for the shocking revelation of Sarah's mishap.

"I thought maybe you put two different earrings on," one laughed.
