A HOMEOWNER has been left utterly gobsmacked after she stumbled upon a spine-tingling find beneath the floorboards of her 250-year-old home.
The content creator, who is known online as ‘Haunted Amelia’, took to social media to show off her eerie discovery, after she heard a strange rattling sound.
She confirmed that not only did she find a very old penny, but she also got her hands on what seemed to be a gold-coloured book too.
Alongside her clip, Amelia penned: ‘I found other things like old nails and old paper. I’m tempted to look and see if I can find anything else! I’m left with a lot of questions like why was this hidden there in the first place?
‘For those who are worried, I DID wear a mask when I did this. But the dust was getting in my eyes which wasn’t fun.’
In the short clip, Amelia then pointed out: "I noticed that there was nothing holding this floorboard down so when you walk on it, it rattles a lot."

Not only did she spot an Edward VII 1904 penny, but she then uncovered what a gold-coloured book tucked under additional planks.
As she extracted the dirty book, she simply shared: "It's filthy."
Clearly very puzzled, she pondered: "How long do you reckon it has been there? It's definitely a book, but they're not actual pages - they're really thick."
