A GLAMOROUS mum who appeared on Channel 5’s Rich Holiday Poor Holiday and Rich Kids Go Skint is “escaping” what she calls “bleak Britain” for a new life in Dubai.
Jodie Weston is known for her extreme spending – having previously admitted to splashing £30,000 on holidays for herself and her son, two-year-old Koa.
Despite what many would consider a luxurious lifestyle, the 30-year-old is becoming fed up with the capital’s rising property prices.
The influencer and DJ says London’s rental market is “a running joke” – “much like the UK’s economy”.
Jodie is also fed up with the men on offer, saying she has “exhausted all options in the UK” and needs a new dating pool.
So, she’s decided to pack up her life to move to Dubai with Koa.

“I can get an amazing apartment with a pool out there for half of what I’m paying in London,” Jodie, who boasts 217,000 followers on Instagram, told What's The Jam.
“In the UK, the future is looking super bleak.
“It’s become a running joke online to see who can find the most ridiculous rental on offer.
“I’ve recently seen people advertising rooms with no toilet for £1,200 a month and you have to adhere to a curfew of when you can and can’t be in the apartment – it's just ridiculous.

“I’ve also exhausted all dating options in the UK, because every time I meet someone, I end up finding out we have at least 10 mutual connections.
“I need a new batch of men.
“I like a guy who is ambitious and able to accept my free spirit, with good manners and a pretty face.
“And I know Dubai has a lot of men who can tick those boxes.”
Jodie has been to Dubai on holiday in the past but will be visiting the United Arab Emirates next month to scope out some places to live permanently.
And also, the men.
She believes the country will provide a better future for her son than the UK with it’s slow-moving economy and rising cost of living and stagnant salaries.

While she admits there are some cultural differences, the mum believes that as long as you respect them, it’s a no-brainer.
Jodie said: “At this point, Dubai is a second version of London – but with a better climate and backdrops for influencers.
“And it has better career opportunities for me as a DJ.
“So many people I know have relocated there – from arty and creative people to corporate office workers – and they have never looked back
“I think a few years ago, things would’ve been very different, but it’s so cosmopolitan there now.
“Obviously you can’t go out getting drunk and being rowdy on the streets but I wouldn’t do that anyway.”
Although she’s switching up her home base, Jodie still intends to keep up her travelling.
World-schooling her tot
The mum plans to “world school” her son by taking him to a new country every month in 2025.
The term, as it’s been coined, aims to focus on using cultural experiences to teach children, rather than a standard curriculum.
Jodie added: “I like the idea of Koa having a more cultured upbringing.
“I would certainly know more if I had been world schooled.
“I think it’s a nice idea if all kids got a gap year to travel as part of their curriculum.
“Right now, Koa’s not in the school system but in a few years, he will be.

“For now, I want him to learn more than what he would do if we stayed in the UK.
“And ultimately, have a better life, too.''
