Parents rush to supermarket as discontinued ‘miracle’ nappy rash cream reappears on shelves with price slashed to £1.86
PARENTS are running to the shops because a discontinued nappy rash cream has reappeared on shelves.
Not only has Metanium Nappy Rash Ointment, which has been hailed as a ‘miracle’ and ‘magical’ by parents, been spotted in a supermarket, but it’s been slashed in price too.
It’s now less than £2 in Morrisons - yes you heard that correctly - so you’ll need to move fast if you want to nab it.
In November last year, mums were left devastated when they discovered that the ‘lifesaver’ product - which was often referred to as Metanium Yellow - had not been seen on supermarket shelves for some time.
The product, which is formulated to help soothe and treat a baby’s delicate skin, relieving irritation and redness, was usually available to buy from a range of high street stores including Superdrug, Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's and Savers.
It was also often found online on Amazon, Express Chemist and Lloyds Pharmacy.

But just two months ago, it was revealed that the product had completely sold out from these retailers, with many stating that it was no longer available to buy.
The Sun contacted representatives for the firm who confirmed the cream is no longer available.
They said: "Thornton & Ross has taken the decision to discontinue Metanium Nappy Rash Ointment.
"This is due to constraints that have impacted our ability to guarantee consistent supply and maintain the high standards of excellence we strive for in all our products."
They added: "We understand Metanium Nappy Rash Ointment was a valued product and we assure you that this decision was not taken lightly.
"We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience the discontinuation of Metanium Nappy Rash Ointment may cause."
But luckily for mums, the cream has now been spotted in Morrisons - for just £1.86.
One savvy mum spotted the bargain buy and took to social media to alert others, leaving many open-mouthed.
Posting on , a private Facebook group with 2.6 million members, Poppy Rose Eastman shared a snap of her yellow sticker buy and confirmed: “For the parents!
“Check your local Morrisons in the clearance section.”
She then added: “It could have just been a one off but they had the "discontinued" cream. It was the last one.”
Whilst Poppy didn't confirm which exact store she spotted the affordable cream in, if you want to stock up before it's all gone, you'll need to check your local store's clearance section for any leftover stock, and fast.
Mums go wild
Mums went wild over Poppy’s post, which was shared just one day ago but has quickly racked up more than 200 likes and 537 comments.

How to save cash on nappies
BUYING nappies and other baby items can be an expensive task, but parents are just realising there's a trick that could save them cash.
If you've got a newborn or multiple little ones to look after, you can really see your outgoings go up.
One money saving mum was shocked to discover that she could have been saving money on nappies for years.
She posted her find on Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK.
The mum wrote: "If you haven't already and you have little ones still in nappies, then get the "Pampers Club App" downloaded.
"You can earn discount coupons and remember to use the code to redeem a £6 off coupon straight away."
She wasn't alone in discovering the deal, as the post racked up more than 30 comments from equally as surprised parents who were keen to share in the bargain.
One social media user wrote: "Wish I'd known about this when my boy was born."
Another tagged their friend and said: "Have you looked into this?!"
A third added: "Ohhh yes gonna give it a go!"
Essentially, each pack of Pampers nappies you buy has a code on the inside of the box, if you scan that code on the Pampers Club app you get a stamp.
The app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or from the Google Play store on Android.
You get one point per nappy in a pack so the larger the packs, the more points you'll receive.
For example, if you scan a code inside a pack of 86 nappies, you'll receive 86 points.
You can then redeem your points for coupons to redeem at retailers such as Tesco, Asda, Boots, Morrisons or Sainsbury's.
Plus, Pampers is currently offering £6 off Pampers nappies in Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Coop, or Boots.
Another tagged a friend and asked: “Check if you go into Morrisons please.”
Whilst a third simply mentioned a loved one and advised: “Run.”
“The places I've seen it are Boots and Savers.”
