Thankfully, Liz Earle, now 61, has sat down with Dr. George to discuss all things beauty - including reversing her biological age.

Speaking on the podcast, Liz opened up about how her biological clock is 20 years younger.

Liz revealed that a couple of years ago she would have never publicly discussed being 61, due to society deeming it as old - something she didn't identify with.

She added: "But biologically, I am actually 39."

Liz then revealed some of her favourite tips to reverse ageing, inside and outside.

The first tip Liz gave was to 'lighten up.' Like most of us, Liz spent a lot of her time feeling stressed or worrying too much, which has been proven to age us.

A study published in Cell Metabolism has found that biological age increases with stress, but can return to normal levels when stress levels decrease.

She also revealed that adding protein to her diet has greatly shifted her biological age and helped her physically.

Liz, who has shifted her career to focus on overall wellness rather than skincare also said the type of exercise you do can make a massive impact.

While she spent years in the gym doing step classes and hard cardio, she has now swapped it for lifting weights and HIT exercises.

"That is doing far more for me," she explained.

"The other thing I also didn't really pay any attention to at all which I now really put up my priority list and that's sleep," Liz added.

"Sleep is a superpower."

Not only does it help with brain function it also helps cells rejuvenate and slow down the ageing process.

Whatever your age or state of health, it’s never too late to reverse how quickly you are ageing and embrace the energy and vigour of a younger you.

Antioxidants, such as vitamins A, C, and E, are essential in neutralising free radicals—the culprits behind premature ageing. 

Integrating a spectrum of colourful fruits and vegetables into your diet provides a potent source of antioxidants.

Omega-3 fatty acids, abundant in fatty fish like salmon and flaxseeds, are vital for maintaining skin elasticity and hydration. 

Omega-3s act as nourishment for your skin, locking in moisture and diminishing fine lines and wrinkles. 

Collagen, a structural protein dwindling with age, can be replenished through collagen-rich foods like bone broth and lean protein sources. 

Many people enjoy a drink, and while we may like it the night before it's a different story in the morning.

While Liz says she tries not to drink, there is one tablet that can help.
