– detailed what began as a seemingly innocent start to a festive party with her co-workers.
Her work had arranged a fancy 12-course tasting menu in a private room at London's Frog restaurant, which she and some colleagues had travelled to by mini-bus.
However, she said there was wine served with each dish, which led to her getting "absolutely sh*t-faced".
Annie admitted to not even being able to remember the second course and was told she had to be carried out of the venue into the minibus – which half the staff were getting back to Kent.
"I was projectile vomiting all over myself. The smell of my sick from the 12 courses was so rancid, that the co-workers behind me were being sick from the smell of my sick," she said.
In her drunken state, she was aware of needing to be discreet in case the minibus driver chucked them off the bus and left her and her colleagues stranded in central London.
"I was trying to be sick quietly, or what I thought was quietly from what I've been retold," she said.
"I was going to my friend – my boss at the time – 'sshh, no-one will know' while being sick into his hand, into the bag, everywhere."
It got worse though, as the minibus stopped at a petrol station and Annie's boss decided to jetwash her down – but accidentally used screenwash instead of water.
I work in HR and there’s SIX Christmas party rules everyone should abide by if they still want to have a job in 2025"So I was in this skin-tight black dress, heels, makeup, being jet-washed down.
"I was not only covered in sick, I was covered in screen wash," she said.
Adding to the hilarity, her boss's sister was also there and decided to get out of the minibus while Annie was being jetwashed down, but this only made her sick too.
"So now there's like multiple people being sick from the stench of my sick," she said, in disbelief.
The minibus journey took another 45 minutes and she says she doesn't know if she was crying or laughing at this point.
She somehow managed to get to sleep once home, and recalls waking up the next morning with her dress stuck to her from the screenwash, her hair covered in sick – and the dreaded feeling of hangxiety.
"I looked at my phone and my other boss, who wasn't in the minibus, but was told about the journey, had text on the work group chat saying, 'Annie, you are a disgrace'.
"And then she unsent the message – I think because my other boss that was my friend, knew what an anxiety state I would be in," she revealed.
Adding to the embarrassing ordeal, one of her co-workers even posted an Instagram story of Annie being jet-washed.
It doesn't seem to have left a lasting mark though, as she ended her post by saying she hopes someone still has a video of the night, because of how unbelievable the story is.
"I didn't get sacked, I still worked there for another year or so," Annie admitted.
"But yeah, unless you're being washed down in central London, making your other co-workers sick from the stench of your sick – then I don't think there's a Christmas staff party embarrassment story that can beat that!" she added.
