Casey Major-Bunce, who runs the @ page, shared her savvy hack in a video which has racked up nearly 2,000 likes.

She shared: “Instantly add height to your Christmas tree.

“All you need is a plant pot, pack it out, and then pop the base inside.”

Casey explains how she uses paper, towel or “whatever she has handy” to fill out the plant pot to raise the tree.

The plant pot is an easy way of adding a foot or two onto your tree without spending a penny.

Garland hack

Casey also had a handy trick for adding baubles to your tree to make it look full.

She showed how she creates a bauble garland to drape around her tree - and not only does it look good but also saves her time hanging individual baubles each year.

She shared: “And then for the bauble garland, all you need is pipe cleaner, ribbon and a zip tie.

“To make the garland, l used a different colours but you could use one colour or mix I used mainly pink and silver.

“Start off by adding three large baubles, and then two smaller ones to the pipe cleaners you want around 5 on each pipe cleaner.

The Range launches ‘no fuss’ Christmas tree that pops up instantly - but shoppers don’t hold back with their views

“Tie the pipe cleaners around the ribbon, you don’t want to leave any space or any gaps they why I love using this method as you can easy fill in any gaps but if you do don’t worry you can add at the end

“To hang them, l used a zip tie at the top and a zip tie at the bottom, to secure them in place.

“I made three different clusters, as you can see and I fitted all the Christmas presents under the tree.”

How to look after your real Christmas tree

HERE'S what you need to know if you're buying a real Christmas tree:

First thing's first: buy a pot (if it doesn't come in one already).

You'll need to treat your tree just like a houseplant and give it water and attention.

Make sure the container has good drainage - and it's a good idea to put something underneath to catch the excess water.

Check the soil everyday to make sure it's not drying out.

If it feels dry, give it some water. If it still feels moist, leave it alone as too much water can also kill a tree.

Also check the LED bulbs on your tree lights aren't too hot as they could burn it, and keep your tree away from radiators.

When Christmas is over, try planting it in the garden so you can dig it up and use it again next year.

It's a good idea to take it out of its pot when you do re-plant it though, as large trees don't survive well in pots as their roots need space to grow.
