LORRAINE viewers were left with their jaws on the floor after Kate Middleton's hairdresser gave a guest 80s makeover.
A woman named Matty appeared on the ITV show this morning where she received an 80s-inspired hair transformation.
The viewer's epic makeover, inspired by the popularity of shows such as Rivals and period drama Joan, was teased throughout the episode before she emerged at the end alongside the hairdresser Richard Ward.
The beauty guru is best known for styling Princess of Wales', 42, gorgeous tresses for her wedding to Prince Willian in 2011.
The presenter was full of praise for the transformation, adding that the 80s style makeover had shaved years off her appearance - and even Sarah Ferguson was amazed by the results.
The Duchess of York, 65, thought the new hairdo made Matty look like the much-loved royal, late Princess Diana.

Matty herself was absolutely over the moon with the new image, saying: ''I love it, I absolutely love it.''
The artist behind the masterpiece predicted 80s-style hair could make a comeback, saying: ''The modern twist is to have it long enough to tuck it behind your ears. I think this is really going to take off.''
However, Lorraine viewers were of a radically different view, saying: ''That haircut looks f***ing horrendous - like she's been dragged backwards through a hedge!''
Another unimpressed critic reckoned the makeover had aged her by two decades.

Others wrote: ''Bloody hell, just sing her up for a care home now, she looks so old now... '80s hair needs to stay in the 1980s.''
Some watchers thought they'd made Matty look like former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
''She's been Hillary Clinton'd, f***ing hell'... She looks like just like Hillary Clinton.''
This comes after Lorraine Kelly took a savage swipe at her ITV colleague Richard Madeley while on a rival channel.
The TV presenter was a guest host on Have I Got News for You, a comedy quiz show on the BBC.
Lorraine said "what fun we had!" as she shared a clip of the scripted programme.
How to achieve Kate Middleton's iconic hair?
JACK Merrick-Thirlway, from Neville Hair and Beauty, gave their expertise...
Speaking to Fabulous, Jack advised that maintaining Kate's level of shine and smoothness takes "consistent care and high-quality products."
They advised: "For hair like Kate’s, hydration is key. I would recommend SachaJuan’s Moisturising Shampoo and Moisturising Conditioner, which are perfect for adding and retaining moisture, ensuring the hair stays soft, smooth, and manageable.

“For deep nourishment, SachaJuan’s Intensive Repair Conditioner is a fantastic choice.

"For years I've claimed to be friends with Richard Madeley.''
She managed to keep a straight face after telling the gag in front of amused panellists, comedian Maisie Adam and journalist Matt Chorley, and team captains Paul Merton and Ian Hislop.
