A NAN has left social media users in hysterics after ordering ''veneers'' from Temu didn't exactly go to plan.

From homeware essentials to wardrobe must-haves on the cheap, it seems that shoppers can buy practically anything from the China-based online retailer Temu - including fake gnashers.

The latter is exactly what one grandma, thought to be from the US, decided to order to spruce up her smile without having to fork out a fortune.

Unfortunately for the wholesome nan, the purchase wasn't quite what she had expected to arrive on her doorstep - and the epic fail was shared on Instagram by her granddaughter Hali Isaihah.

, which has been viewed more than an astronomical 10million times in just three days, sees the sweet nan first giving the ''veneers'' a good rinse.

Once she felt like the plastic teeth were clean, the grandmother popped them into her mouth, with others in the room eager to see the makeover.

''Let me see, let me see! Oh my God!'' Hali, who was filming the clip, could be heard saying in the background.

All chuffed with her new dazzling smile, the online shopper turned around and proudly posed with the ''veneers''.

But whilst she may have been pleased with the purchase, which retails for as little as 68p on the website, the reaction in the house was slightly different, with everyone unable to contain their laughter.

''Oh my God, nanny...'' Hali was saying, as the grandmother was holding the fake teeth in place with her fingers.

Sharing the epic shopping fail on her page, the granddaughter wrote in the caption: ''She was so excited about them.''

After the clip went viral both on Instagram and TikTok, hundreds of social media users flooded to comments in total stitches.

I couldn’t figure out why my Temu beaded necklace stank so much - then I realised what the pendant was made from_1

One wrote: ''The lip shivering while holding them in place is KILLING ME.''

Another admired the nan for putting the ''veneers'' to test, writing: ''Putting anything from temu in your mouth is brave.''

Someone else joked and compared the Temu fan to the famous American rapper and actor 50 Cent.

Why is Temu so cheap?

TEMU exploded onto the scene in late 2022, with people all over social media raving about the low prices.

The company is a Chinese-owned digital marketplace - essentially an online shopping app where people are connected to the retailer directly while the app takes care of the shipping element.

The frenzy over the app is not completely unfounded either as it offers a wide variety of products, including fashionmake-up, electronics and furniture.

from the US House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, Temu takes advantage of a trade loophole that allows the company to ship duty-free goods directly to the US.

The loophole is called the de minimis exception and it means they can ship goods valued up to $800 (£643) to the US without it being inspected or taxed by US customs.

Temu connects customers directly to manufacturers and only manages how the items are sent to customers.

It means Chinese vendors can essentially sell their products directly to customers and ship it without building a network of warehouses across the globe.

By doing this, they cut down on huge costs and ensure the product itself isn’t marked up extra.

While many of the products seen on the Temu app are from brands with extensive, original collections, many more are dupes of designer brands

''She bout to start talking like 50 cent.''

''Yall, put some money together for nanna,'' a third begged.

''Get her some proper dentures,'' someone else told Hali.

Meanwhile, others were more concerned about another thing - that the nan was rinsing the fake gnashers right above the bowl where the chicken had been put to thaw before cooking.

''This why I don’t be eating from people house ….. go in the bathroom with that,'' wrote one critic.
