The true cost of her backward-aging face

2 – Cold milk baths
But when it comes to Mariah’s more unconventional beauty secrets, it turns out that she’s a fan of cold milk baths.
The singer previously revealed that she likes to take baths in cold milk in order to keep her skin moisturised.
In a 2018 interview, Mariah was asked whether it was true that she only bathed in French mineral water.

“Sometimes I use milk as a beauty treatment. I don’t want to give away all my secrets.”
3 – No carbs allowed
In addition to her bizarre baths, Mariah has a strict diet to keep her looking so fabulous.
She swears by cutting out carbs and eating the same nutritious meal every day, but is convinced that many people would ‘hate’ it.
The star previously told : “It’s really hard. My diet, you would hate it.
“All you eat is Norwegian salmon and capers every day. That’s it.”
4 – £1k beauty sleep
As well as taking her diet seriously, Mariah also swears by the importance of beauty sleep for youthful looks.
Not only is it reported that Mariah sometimes sleeps for 15 hours a night, but she even hires a masseuse to help relax her so that she can get to sleep easier.
The star explained that on nights when she struggles to sleep: “I’ll get a masseuse to come, to make it a relaxed atmosphere.”

If that wasn’t enough, a source once told that Mariah spent over £1,000 on an eight hour massage to help her relax.
She’s also reported to surround herself with 20 humidifiers whilst she sleeps to help keep her vocal chords moisturised.
5 – Mascara ban
When it comes to her makeup, Mariah believes that less is more for an age-defying look.
The star previously told Vogue that she often bans makeup artists from putting mascara on her, as she confessed: “I hate mascara. I never wear it.
“Whenever a makeup artist tries to put it on me, I throw a fit.”
She added: “If you’re not wearing a lot of makeup, you don’t have to take a lot of it off.
“So, my goal is to wear the least amount of makeup possible so I don’t have to steam my face and take it all off.”
6 – Lighting is key
And that’s not all, as in order to stay looking as youthful as ever, this Christmas icon is very particular about the type of lighting she sits in.
The singer is known for demanding control over her life and has been public about her distaste for overhead lighting.
She previously explained: “I would never have overhead lighting. High hats, they call them.
“In my apartment in New York, it’s all recessed lighting, chandeliers, candles. This lighting is abusive.”
But it’s not just the lighting in her home that has to be spot on, she’s also particular about it in her $1.8million two-story tour bus too.
Mariah, who has twins Moroccan Scott Cannon and Monroe Carey Cannon, with her ex-husband Nick Cannon, often requests lamps in her tour bus so that she isn’t ‘tortured’ by unflattering lights.
