He is currently living with his partner and two young children at his partners’ parents' house in Portsmouth.

The cramped living conditions has meant, among other things, compromising his love of gaming where his console must compete for space with toys in a shared living and play space.

However, it turned out that video games were the secret to their escape.

To mark the launch of Call of Duty®: Black Ops 6, Call of Duty launched the £100k giveaway so that gamers could buy their own ‘safehouse’ as seen in the film.

Reece was drawn at random and selected from thousands of entrants.

The £100,000 prize will mean that the winner, Reece can now take a significant step towards buying his own Safehouse for himself and his family.

Speaking about how the prize will change his life, Reece said: “When I received the call, I was upstairs with my newborn, and I didn’t think it was real.

“The £100,000 will help my family a lot.

“To get on the housing ladder is a massive relief and to have a deposit that size to put down on an actual place is going to be more than enough.

“My current living situation is me living with my partner’s parent at the moment.

I own UK’s tiniest home - it’s only as wide as a Ford Focus but housed family of 6 & was nearly destroyed for mad reason

“She is unfortunately disabled as she had a stroke, so my partner is her full-time carer.

“Us moving out will enable us to move on and help her get the care she needs as well.”

The prize money was calculated to cover the standard house price in the game’s setting of 1991, plus additional money to kit it out, including legal and solicitor fees.

Reece will also receive all the latest gaming gear including a brand-new Xbox Series X, Gaming PC, and 55” TV for the most important place in the house – the gaming room.
