WAITING 'til marriage isn't exactly an unheard of concept, but one couple took the belief a step further.
Kaytlin O'Neall and Drew Brown, both 21, have held off on kissing until after they've tied the knot.
The young couple have been together for four years and got engaged in October.
Posting a TikTok of the proposal, Kaytlin () referenced their plans to avoid locking lips until they say their vows.
"Disclaimer!!! You don’t have to kiss to get a ring," she captioned the clip.
However, not everyone agreed with the sentiment, with many people struggling to wrap their heads around the concept.

A posted by the bride-to-be addressing the common questions she and her partner received 2.5 million views.
"Things people have said when they find out me and my boyfriend of almost two years haven’t kissed," Kaytlin wrote.
According to the TikToker, people usually ask them: "WHY!?!??" and "For real!?!??!"
The Texas native revealed that others tell them: "That must take some self control!!!"

Meanwhile, others pressure the pair to lock lips after learning about their unusual beliefs.
"You know you can just kiss, it’s not the end of the world!" strangers often say.
Kaytlin added that people also say "Come on, DO IT!!" when they refuse.
Others overstepped by asking the couple about what other physical interactions they have.
She explained that they are often asked: "OK but what else do y’all do?"
Despite the pressure, the non-denominational Christians are steadfast on their stance.
And while they refuse to be swayed, they revealed that "toxic purity culture" is not the reason behind their decision.

The couple explained that they were inspired by their religious beliefs to abstain from any form of physical intimacy.
"It is truly because we have felt this conviction from the Lord," Kaytlin explained.
"Your flesh is always going to want to make the wrong choice."
Kaytlin revealed her reasons for wanting to abstain from physical intimacy until she has tied the knot.
"Before Drew and I started dating, I spent time thinking about the physical boundaries I wanted in a relationship because I was dating with the intent of marriage," she told .
"I knew I wanted to save my first kiss and physical intimacy for my future husband.
