I used to be in the military but now I’m a proud trad wife – my husband pays me £78 a week, I hate feminism
A YOUNG WOMAN who married a man 23 years older than her has revealed why she loves being a housewife - and even has an allowance from it.
Alyssa, 28, and her husband Tom, 51, met while they worked in the US military, but she soon decided on a different career.
Once the pair got engaged, she decided to bring up the idea of staying at home and looking after the house.
In return, she gets £78 per week for keeping the house in order and she loves every minute of it.
Speaking to Truly, Alyssa who has just given birth to their first child said: "My husband employs me to take care of the home and I encourage other women to pursue the same dynamic for their future financial success."
"I earn more now married than I did when I was in the military and it's the best job I've ever had. There are feminists on Reddit who hate me, most of which are single over the age of 30," she continued.

At the start, Tom was never sure about having a traditional relationship - where the woman stays at home while the man is the main breadwinner.
But as time passed, he says their new relationship dynamic has made them happier than ever.
Tom revealed: "Until I got into a relationship with Ali, I didn't even know how wonderful having a traditional relationship where there were gender separations."
Alyssa said they made a deal that if she was a bad homemaker she'd go back to work, but it came naturally to her.
Now she spends her days cooking for Tom, cleaning the house, and doing laundry.
She also believes the feminist movement was bad in every way, adding: "Men love women so much that they would have liberated us after they were fully liberated anyway.
"I am just of the opinion that feminism was completely unnecessary and that it's a female supremacy movement."
She adds that not only does she earn more money now - which is helped by her YouTube channel, she also has her living expenses and health insurance paid for by Tom.
Tom revealed they got rid of Alyssa's credit cards so she can use his, giving her £78 ($100) a week for fun and snacks.
"I can see all of her purchases, she's very disciplined," he added.
What is a trad wife?
A trad wife (short for traditional wife) is a woman who chooses to take on an ultra traditional role in marriage, meaning she makes dinner and looks pretty whilst her husband goes to work.
The trend takes inspiration from the idea of a 1950s housewife.
Many 'trad wives' choose to dress in the style of clothing popular in this period (think floral dresses and frumpy cardigans).
Additionally, the values considered important to trad wives are similar to strict Christian values.
Trad wives believed they were not forced into this way of life, and that it was their purpose to be homemakers.
The trend, which has garnered attention on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, glamorises a time gone by with little acknowledgement of the economic challenges facing families and mothers today.
People who watched the video on YouTube were left stunned by the couple's dynamic with many claiming £78 was not enough to get by.
One person wrote: "The only problem with this is she is solely dependent on him. She has no credit score or income. There is value in being independent as a woman."
Another commented: "$100 a week? Maids get paid more than that!"
"So it’s basically an allowance," penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: "I’ve wanted this my entire life!!! The only thing I would change is the rate of pay. I would need enough for me to have fun and invest in other ways in case it doesn’t last til death do us part. I absolutely love working for my family and hate working for and with strangers."
"TRAD WIFE is so toxic. Feminism happened for a reason, they had no choices or options or freedom. This is odd,” claimed a fifth.
