However, as cash-strapped beauty buffs are on the lookout for cheaper alternatives, one woman has spilled the beans on her mum's glowing complexion in her 70s.

According to Chloe Flower, an artist from New York City, the US, her mother, 72, has never forked out for any facial treatments, including Botox, fillers and no plastic surgery.

And despite recently having an operation and sitting in a wheelchair, Chloe was gobsmacked to see just how radiant her glow was, sharing a wholesome video on Instagram.

''My 72 year old mother just came out of surgery (she’s currently in a wheelchair) and she isn’t feeling her freshest,'' the music fan wrote in the caption of .

''But I'm amazed at her skin,'' Chloe said, as she zoomed into her mum's gorgeous complezion.

''Your skin looks so good,'' she could be heard saying, as the humble parent thanked her, thinking the daughter was lying.

''It looks really good - you have no pores,'' the woman revealed the wrinkle-free skin.

So, how does her mum achieve such an enviable glow, with barely any fine lines in sight?

According to Chloe, who posts under the username @, her adorable mother has implemented four strict rules she's followed for years.

Not only has the mum given up consuming a variety on beverages, she also ensures to eat a healthy and nutrient-dense diet of whole foods - and sweets are off the menu.
