I make £12k a month whipping and humiliating men as a dominatrix – but I won’t ever have sex with them
ZARA, 39, tells MEL FALLOWFIELD how she juggles being a mum of two with alter ego ‘Queen Tricks’ – a hard-as-nails dominatrix who punishes men for cash
Standing in the kitchen and cooking dinner for my sons, I could not be more content.
Later, my fiancé Owen will join me, Callum, four, and 19-year-old Tom as we eat and chat about our days.
It’s a scene played out all over the UK.
But I doubt many other women have spent their working day like me.
For the past four years I’ve juggled family life and the school run with my day job as a tough-talking dominatrix.

As Queen Tricks — my working name — I humiliate and dominate men.
I whip them, insult them and even tread on them with my black, thigh-high PVC boots.
Sometimes I meet them in person in a local dungeon that I rent.
It’s purpose-built and called the Scarlet Dungeon — although it’s a vibrant shade of purple.

It’s rented out to loads of dominatrixes and contains a bed that you can tie people to, as well as a full-size cage and a swing.
I pay £40 per hourly session, but my client foots the bill.
At other times, I work online from a sound-proofed studio in the garden of our five-bedroom home in Southampton.
I don’t touch my clients sexually — I keep my clothes on and the only time they’re allowed to touch is to lick my boots.
When seeing clients online, I brandish a whip, act out slapping them, or order them to hit their bits.
It’s lucrative work and I can earn up to £12,000 a month.
The most I’ve earnt in a day was £6,000, when a man kept tipping me online, straight to my bank account.
I’m not materialistic so don’t buy designer handbags or shoes.
Instead, the cash pays for family outings and treats, or I save it.
Along with Owen’s work as a business consultant, we are fortunate to live comfortably and we are planning a trip to Jamaica to celebrate my 40th next year.
But I don’t just do it for the money — I love my job and I find it empowering.
And I feel no reason to hide what I do.
Even Owen’s 95-year-old nan knows.
I first dabbled with being a dominatrix eight years ago, with Owen’s full support.
In fact, it was Owen who chose the name Queen Tricks, saying it would suit me.
We’ve been together since meeting through friends when I was 18 and we’ve always made decisions together.
My best friend was a very successful dom and kept telling me how much money I could make.
Although I had a good job in finance at the time, I decided to try it. I was intrigued and felt I’d be good at it.
But back then I didn’t have the time to really go for it, so stopped after a few months.
It’s only in the last four years that I’ve done it full-time.
I had Callum and was then made redundant from my job in recruitment, so it all fell into place.
I wanted a job that would work around the boys and I liked the idea of being my own boss.
I did a lot of soul searching.
It was a big change from my corporate life and I worried about the impact on the boys.
But I spoke to Tom who, at 16, was old enough to know about it.
I spelt it out that it wasn’t sexual, but if he had been against it, I wouldn’t have done it.
Luckily he was on board and now he even does some of my social media.
His friends know what I do too and they are fascinated by it.
Their generation has a different mindset.
They have been brought up with OnlyFans and influencer culture. They are more tolerant.
There are dominatrix courses and my friend, who was professionally trained for six months, taught me all the language and acronyms.
If a man asks for SPH, it means “small penis humiliation”.
She also taught me how to administer physical pain to men without injuring them.
There are parts of the body you can’t tread on, for example any part of the stomach.
You steer clear of the liver, as you can damage it.
But even so, doing it in real life was terrifying and surreal.
The first time, I was so nervous that my hands were sweating.
'NATURALLY ASSERTIVE'
I’d signed up to a platform and did a few sessions online before my first client, who was in his sixties, came to the dungeon and served me.
He liked to wear a hood and a chastity belt and worship my boots.
I was convinced I’d forget everything my friend had taught me, but I soon got used to it and it’s now second nature.
Although my sex life with Owen is vanilla, I’m naturally assertive.
When I first started, I had to work very long hours.
I’d often get up before the boys to put in some time camming overseas clients, before doing the school and nursery run.
I’d then do more during the day and go back to my studio at night-time.
Now I’ve got a lot of regular clients, from builders to lawyers, so I mostly work during school hours.
Some of the men are married and are camming behind their wives’ backs, which I don’t feel guilty about as there’s no physical contact.
But sometimes it’s with their partner’s permission as they want to outsource that side of their life.
Some like to be locked in chastity cages — a sort of “penis prison”, where they are unable to touch themselves or get an erection.
That’s the only time I touch their genitals — to lock them up.
Their girlfriends sometimes ask me to do it, with their fella’s consent, to stop them from cheating.
I charge £1,000 a month for that pleasure and, in case you’re wondering, there’s a hole they can use to go to the toilet.
I always get men to sign legal contracts spelling out what they want. It’s important to protect myself.
We have safe words that will stop the session and I also check they don’t have any heart conditions.
I also only meet men in person when I’ve got to know them online first.
When I really know them, I allow them to come to my house, where they pay for the pleasure of cleaning my home or my car.
I charge them over £500 for the privilege.
I’d never let in someone I didn’t really trust — and Owen wouldn’t allow that either.
And while a lot of men are looking for classic dominatrix services, others just want to be dressed up as a woman or chat.
We’ll talk about anything.
Some are lonely and I feel like a counsellor, just listening to their problems.
I’m so passionate about my work that with Owen’s help, I’ve set up my own webcam platform Domin8trix.
I give the girls on it a bigger cut of the profits than many adult platforms and I mentor them and offer training.
It’s important for women to realise I work very hard to earn what I do and that not all women are suited to the job.
I’ve never hidden what I do.
My youngest son’s teachers know — because a mother said she didn’t want her children hanging out with mine.
But they’ve never spoken to me about it.
Luckily I have a small circle of very close friends. I’ve got a thick skin, too.
I’ve had to put up with racial abuse throughout my life, so a bit of gossip is nothing to me.
At the end of the day I’m just another working mum doing my best for my family.
I love cooking, curling up and watching a film and reading Callum bedtime stories.
I’m not hurting anyone, except my clients — and only if they ask me nicely and pay me handsomely.
There is no age limit on being a dom, either.
The longer you’re in the industry the more respect you get.
Owen says: “I’m very relaxed about Zara’s work. It’s just another job.
