My bathtub is destroyed after using a 70p Tesco buy – I tried to wash it off & could cry at how bad it looks

A WOMAN has shared how a common product from Tesco destroyed her bathtub after she attempted to give it a clean.

Gemma Louise took to Facebook to upload a snap of the bathtub after purse-friendly bleach from the major supermarket allegedly left brown stains over the white surface.

According to the cleaning fan, she had poured the 70p bleach from Tesco into her bathtub and the marks were beginning to form right away.

Despite attempting to rinse the solution off, the damage had already been done, as Louise sought advice on the popular site.

''So I could cry, I literally used Tesco bleach to clean my bath this morning.

''I never left it for any time period, straight away it was an orange/brown colour that come out,'' Mrs Hinch fan cried to fellow members.

''I immediately tried to washing it off (you can see where it's smudged from rubbing it) and it's just completely stained my bath.

''Any ideas what could help this?

''I look like a right scruff now I can't keep it like this.''

As other members of the group flocked to comments to share their top tips, some claimed that they, too, had had similar issues with the same product purchased from the mega retailer.

One woman said: ''Mine does this and it eventually goes after about 3/4 baths.''

Someone else chimed in with the same experience, writing: ''Happened to me too a few weeks ago, nothing so far has worked.''

''The same happened to me this morning,'' a third claimed in the comments.

''Oh wow I always use tesco bleach this has never happened to me,'' a shopper wrote.

''Thanks for the heads up don't think I'll be using it again.''

Luckily for Louise - and others - there were also plenty of helpful responses, with one thrifty tip reading: ''I know it sounds stupid, but if coke can clean engines, coins etc, it's worth a shot.

Cleaning hacks for outside

ALGAE: If your fence is covered in stubborn algae, Mrs Hinch fans swore by white vinegar to get it looking brand new.

MOSS: If moss is causing you problems, soda crystals will do just the trick.

PATIO: IF your patio slabs have seen better days, bleach could be just the thing for you.
