I work at Wetherspoons and my secret menu chicken kebab is the best thing you can buy – here’s exactly what to order
THERE'S nothing quite like grabbing a bite to eat at your local Wetherspoons.
Love it or loathe it, there's no denying you get a lot of bang for your buck when it comes to the huge variety of menu items the pub has on offer.
But despite the huge range of food, one worker admitted she's tried just about everything and gets bored of ordering the same thing time and time again.
Macey Newberry, who works at the famed bargain boozer, took to social media, to share how she created her own DIY kebab by ordering a few menu staples.
In the viral video, Macey explained that although the dish isn't technically on the menu, punters can still order it if they ask for some very specific things.
"Since working at Spoons this has been my favourite creation so far," she said.

The kebab consisted of chicken strips, roasted vegetables, salad and a naan bread - all things you might not order on their own but when put together make a tasty and filling meal.
"Honestly, now that I've eaten everything on the Wetherspoons menu as you can imagine I do get a bit bored of the food now and again, but not to worry.
"When you're creative like me and love food, you come up with stuff like this," she said in the clip.
So, how exactly can you order Macey's Spoons kebab on your next visit to the bargain boozer?

Macey told her followers to simply order three chicken strips, a Mediterranean salad and a naan bread, then add the roasted veg if you want to get some more greens in.
You can ask for it to come on the same plate, but depending on the pub you might have to stack up the kebab yourself.
Macey enjoyed her creation and even said it was one of the best things she's ever had the pleasure of eating there - so it's definitely worth trying it out.
Fellow foodies were impressed with the kebab creation and couldn't wait to try it out for themselves.
"Now that looks good, even with the mustard," one Spoons fan commented on the clip.
A second agreed: "I have to try this ASAP."
Meanwhile, another worker chimed in and said: "I work in the kitchen at Spoons and love making up meals like this."
And a former McDonalds worker even said they would make up similar creations at the fast food joint.
"I used to love making my own creations up with the bread, sauces, and limited edition sides," they confessed.
The DIY kebab isn't the only thing Macey urged Spoons fans to try out though, she recently told punters how they could spice up their nachos with a simple ordering hack.
When ordering your grub you'll need to go to the bar to customise them.
Simply ask the staff member taking your order add on a five bean chilli.

However, you should clarify you don't want the five bean chilli as a meal, but rather from the deli plates section of the menu, where there are the jacket potato add on options.
"If you would have got both meals it would have been 15 quid, but I've just saved eight quid, you're welcome," Macey said.
How can I save money at Wetherspoons?
FREE refills - Buy a £1.50 tea, coffee or hot chocolate and you can get free refills. The deal is available all day, every day.
Check a map - Prices can vary from one location the next, even those close to each other.
So if you're planning a pint at a Spoons, it's worth popping in nearby pubs to see if you're settling in at the cheapest.
Choose your day - Each night the pub chain runs certain food theme nights.
For instance, every Thursday night is curry club, where diners can get a main meal and a drink for a set price cheaper than usual.
Pick-up vouchers - Students can often pick up voucher books in their local near universities, which offer discounts on food and drink, so keep your eyes peeled.
Get appy - The Wetherspoons app allows you to order and pay for your drink and food from your table - but you don't need to be in the pub to use it.
Taking full advantage of this, cheeky customers have used social media to ask their friends and family to order them drinks. The app is free to download on the App Store or Google Play.
Check the date - Every year, Spoons holds its Tax Equality Day to highlight the benefits of a permanently reduced tax bill for the pub industry.
It usually takes place in September, and last year it fell on Thursday, September 14.
As well as its 12-day Real Ale Festival every Autumn, Wetherspoons also holds a Spring Festival.
