A FORMER janitor has spilled the beans on how to find the cleanest public bathroom - and the cubicle to never visit.

27-year-old Jennifer Cullison picked up the three bathroom secrets whilst working as a janitor for a couple of years and combining this with her PhD studies in human behaviour.

The student, from the US, advised TikTok users to always use the stalls on the left, and avoid using the disability bathroom.

''I'm going to tell you which stalls in a bathroom are used the least and therefore are the cleanest,'' Jennifer said.

The ex-janitor explained that while carrying out hourly checks, she'd also replace the toilet paper - so she noticed which stalls were used the most.

''I'm also an anthropology PhD student so I study human behaviour,'' she added.

Jennifer warned that ''the biggest thing'' to bear in mind in public bathrooms is that the first few stalls are typically used most frequently - and are therefore, the dirtiest.

To avoid any unpleasant surprises, Jennifer advised to ''go to the farthest stall from the door to the bathroom because people usually go into the first couple of stalls',' Jennifer advised.''.

''The ones in the back, especially in big bathrooms, never get used.''

The former janitor's second tip was that if the bathroom has stalls lining either side, it's best to ''always'' go left - this is because most people will choose to ''go to the right''.

''I think that might have to do with like a left right handed thing.''

Her third and final piece of advice was to avoid handicap stalls at all costs, as it may prevent someone who actually needs it from using it.

Jennifer explained that most adults don't use these, but as kids ''love novelty'' they will go right into the stalls.

Social media users were very grateful for the tips and said her video answered questions they had thought about for years.

''Thank you so much for this information, I think about this literally every time in a public restroom and I always pick the second farthest one in the back,'' one woman said.
