A WOMAN has revealed that she has given her kitchen a mega makeover, without breaking the bank.
So if you’re on a budget but want to turn your pad from drab to fab, then you’ll need to listen up.
Sam Conway, a savvy mum from the UK, explained that thanks to bargain buys from Dunelm and Wilko, she was able to turn her dated and dull kitchen into a fresh, modern space.
Thrilled with her DIY transformation, Sam took to social media to share a before and after look at the space, leaving many open-mouthed.
Posting online, on , a private Facebook page with 2.2 million members, Sam shared snaps of her kitchen before its overhaul, as well as pictures of the finished space, leaving many open-mouthed.
What was once in need of some serious TLC, with orange flooring, old-fashioned floral tiles and brown cupboards, has been given a fresh new look.

Now, the space is incredibly modern and chic, with stunning herringbone style flooring and cool cream cupboards.
The tiles and worktops have been given an update and the space has been glammed up with trendy black accessories too.
Thrilled with the cheap makeover, Sam wrote: “Unbelievably proud of how our budget kitchen refurb has turned out.”
She then confirmed that she painted the kitchen tiles using Johnstone's Revive Tile Paint in white.

She also painted the kitchen cabinets with a cupboard and furniture paint in ‘Perfectly Greige’ from Wilko.
Not only this, but she updated the cupboards with new chrome handles and got new herringbone lino vinyl flooring from .
To give the once dark worktops a brighten up, she used D-C-Fix ‘Ribbeck Oak’ vinyl film and also got a made to measure blind from Blinds4You.
In addition to this, Sam nabbed a trendy, matte black light fitting, a striped door mat and a towel rail from Dunelm.

To finish off the space, Sam also bought a three tier shelving unit from Next, which is super stylish.
Overjoyed with her upgraded space, Sam penned: “It just goes to show - a turd can very much be polished!!”
