PERHAPS the scent of tangy pine, sugary bakes, or spiced wine instantly conjure up memories of Christmas.

For me, it's the sticky, sugary aroma of Lush Snow Fairy - which has been a Christmas staple since my teens.

One sniff and I'm back to my schooldays, traipsing around shopping centres, hanging home-made ornaments on the tree, and bingeing on Advent calendar chocolates.

Since its launch in 2005, Lush Snow Fairy has been gracing our shelves every autumn - before disappearing in the new year.

With its bubblegum scent and acid-pink appearance, the shower gel has become one of the brand's most iconic products - so much so, there are now over 20 products in the range, from glitter bath bombs to fairy-shaped soap bars.

There hasn't been much variation to the cult shower gel since its launch, so I gasped when I read: "Lush is launching four new variations of the Snow Fairy shower gel," in an email earlier this week.

The Snow Fairy range now includes a milkshake-inspired formula and a more glittery version of the OG Snow Fairy - because clearly, one glittery, vibrant pink, bubblegum-scented shower gel wasn't quite enough.

Lush Snow Fairy Two-Tone Shower Gel, £9

It initially surprised me that the new Snow Fairy shower gels aren't all the same price - with this one being the most expensive - but this formula has a totally different feel to the rest.

With its lightweight, silky texture, feels reminiscent of a cleansing oil - hydrating, deep cleaning and softening.

Quintessential Lush, it has a strong, sugary smell and slightly shimmering appearance - definitely one for hyping you up for the big day.

How To Save Money On Beauty Buys

IF your purse is feeling tighter than ever before and you're looking to save cash on your make-up routine, have you ever thought of trying out beauty dupes?

Here's five of the best recommended beauty buys that are almost identical to the posh versions, but for a fraction of the price.

FACE BASE: If you can't afford Charlotte Tilbury's £52 Magic Cream, why not try a dupe that costs just £5.49 from Superdrug?

TONE IT UP: If Drunk  Elephant's £62 Protini moisturiser is out of your price range, you'll need to check out the new dupe in Home Bargains.

TINTING IT: With Fenty's 'game-changer' skin tint costing an eye-watering £29, a popular supermarket's affordable alternative might just be the thing for you.

GET COVERED: At £29 for a Tarte concealer, the new Primark dupe is much more affordable at just £3.50.

SPRAY YAY: For those wanting to smell fresh, without the price tag, Aldi's new Prada and Chloe perfume dupes cost a fraction of the price.

Lush Snow Fairy Milkshake Shower Gel, £8

Squeezed straight from the tube, this shower gel resembles pink acrylic paint, which initially felt both intriguing and concerning.

However, once massaged into damp skin, it has a cashmere-soft texture, which gently cleanses without feeling too harsh or drying.

While I usually swerve heavily scented body products (my eczema isn't a fan), its oat milk base has a cooling, calming quality - a win for dry skin.

Snow Fairy Glow Fairy Shower Gel, £8

While I always thought of the OG Snow Fairy as having enough glitter already, Glow Fairy cranks things up a notch.

Infused with zinc sulfide, an illuminating, light-reflecting powder, it leaves skin radiant - even after you've rinsed and towel-dried.

Texture-wise, the formula has a creamy, lotion-like appearance which feels gentle and hydrating, plus it leaves skin looking like you've doused yourself in highlighter.

Lush Snow Fairy Glitter Shower Gel, £7.50

My skin can't cope with harsh or complex shower products so I was nervous to try this, especially after discovering it contains 13 times more glitter than the original Snow Fairy.

Massaged straight on to skin, this shower gel has an iridescent appearance, which fortunately leaves behind an illuminating, rather than sparkly, finish.

Squeezed on to hands, you'd never be able to tell it contains over 10 times more glitter than the OG Snow Fairy formula - and thank goodness, quite honestly!
