TikTok user shared how you can make life easier for yourself when clothes are still in the washing machine.
Sharing her “washing tip”, she advised: “To save drying time during the cold months give every wash an extra spin.”
By giving clothes an extra spin you’ll help to remove more water and thus reduce the drying time.
Meanwhile, a faster spin cycle on your washing machine helps to reduce moisture levels.

However, when drying clothes it is important to take note of your clothes care labels before you spin them, as some items will be too delicate.
Her post had racked up over 12,400 likes, and many people agreed that her hack makes a big difference.
One woman said: “been doing this for years, my partner thinks I'm daft.”
Another added: “Always do this.”

Fabric softener company Lenor also shared some top tips for drying clothes in winter.

They first advised that you reconsider how many clothes you are washing in the machine.
The company shared: “Don’t overfill your washing machine.
“Squashing clothes in together will leave them damper at the end of the wash and, ultimately, they will take longer to dry.”
Another tip is to hang your clothes up straight away, instead of leaving them to sit in the machine.

Lenor shared: “Don’t leave them in the machine or a laundry basket as this can cause them to smell musty and even grow mould.
“If you’re tight on space, you can create more hanging room by simply using curtain rods.
“Hang an extra shower curtain rod along the top of your bathtub/shower area, and you’ve instantly got a hidden indoor spot to do some drying.
