She shared a video on her TikTok account urging her followers to also check out “places like” Home Bargains and compare them elsewhere.

Rachel filmed her shopping trip at her local store, and narrated over the footage.

She said: “Can we not sit on Home Bargains this year when it comes to Christmas presents for our kids?

“The bargains you sometimes find here, plus the unique items you wouldn't typically get your hands on, are unreal.”

The mum first started off by heading to the kids toiletries section and picking up cartoon themed washcloth costing £1.29.

She says: “These are clearly meant to be washcloths, but I got them last year for my daughter and used them as hand puppets.

“She was only three months old and she absolutely loved them.

“They're now two and one and still use them.

“Let's be honest, we all said we wouldn't do character clothing, yet here we are, and this was insanely cheap for character merchandise.”

She then heads to the kids clothing area, and continues to say: “£1.50 for socks that are going to go missing in two minutes? Yes, please.”

Rachel then went to the toys section and found a £14.99 interactive goal set, whilst also explaining the Lights & Sounds Farm Tractor, for £16.99, for her son’s first birthday “and he still uses it.”

She continues to say: “My daughter is now one, and she uses a drop ball daily, so I would highly recommend that.

“If you're shopping for a one-year-old this Christmas and your kids love Peppa Pig, this is definitely a place to visit.

“There was a little mini bus that also doubled as a shape sorter. That was £12.99, and for a character item, that's excellent value.”

Home Bargains is also selling a Schoolyard Tumble set by Melisssa & Doug,  for £7.99, and Mr Tumble Toys for £7.99.

She says: “I then ventured into the bigger kid aisle and found this Paw Patrol item for only £30.”

She also found a police rescue centre for £17.99 “which is so good.”

Rachel explained that she also bought her son a Paw Patrol mini truck for £11.99, and a fire engine ride-on car for £11.99.

How to save money on Christmas shopping

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how you can save money on your Christmas shopping.

Limit the amount of presents - buying presents for all your family and friends can cost a bomb.

Instead, why not organise a Secret Santa between your inner circles so you're not having to buy multiple presents.

Plan ahead - if you've got the stamina and budget, it's worth buying your Christmas presents for the following year in the January sales.

Make sure you shop around for the best deals by using price comparison sites so you're not forking out more than you should though.

Buy in Boxing Day sales - some retailers start their main Christmas sales early so you can actually snap up a bargain before December 25.

Delivery may cost you a bit more, but it can be worth it if the savings are decent.

Shop via outlet stores - you can save loads of money shopping via outlet stores like Amazon Warehouse or Office Offcuts.

They work by selling returned or slightly damaged products at a discounted rate, but usually any wear and tear is minor.

She says: “There was a little mini Peppa Pig suitcase that could store all the hair accessories.”

Home Bargains were also selling Peter Rabbit item toys for £12.99.

She says: “Let's not forget the mountain of books they have for around £1.99.

“My son is obsessed with Pixar, and I went online to get him a Finding Nemo colouring book, which cost me £7.99 on Amazon, but you could get one there for £0.79.

I got the toddler Disney dolls, usually £25, [but] got them for £12.99 in there!

Another added: “Love Home Bargains always!
