The product in question is the Seal 'n' Save tape, which will set you back just £6.50 a pack.

Manufacturers boast that the tape is the "ultimate solution to draughty homes".

Placed around the door and window frames, it creates an airtight and water-resistant barrier, and stops any wind or cold getting into the house.

As it's see-through, it's also discreet and practically invisible, and doesn't interfere with opening the windows and doors if you need to.

Plus you can install it quickly and easily, without needing any tools, or causing any damage.

And customers were quick to rave about the tape when an ad was shared on Facebook.

"Brilliant stuff and surprisingly hard wearing," one wrote.

"Very good stuff, very pleased with it," another added.

"This product is amazing and works a treat!" a third agreed.

As someone else said: "Works great.

I tried Aldi’s heated airer to dry my clothes

"I only added the tape the other day on where the draught is coming from and already we feel the difference."

"I got it delivered couple of days ago," another wrote.

"Surprised to see two rolls which look pretty good length.

"No hassles with sender. Perfect service!"

The tape comes with five metres on a roll, and will cost you just £12.99 for two rolls.

It's just one of the gadgets out there designed to help people keep their energy bills under control.

4 ways to keep your energy bills low

Laura Court-Jones, Small Business Editor at Bionic shared her tips.

1. Turn your heating down by one degree

You probably won't even notice this tiny temperature difference, but what you will notice is a saving on your energy bills as a result. Just taking your thermostat down a notch is a quick way to start saving fast. This one small action only takes seconds to carry out and could potentially slash your heating bills by £171.70.

2. Switch appliances and lights off

It sounds simple, but fully turning off appliances and lights that are not in use can reduce your energy bills, especially in winter. Turning off lights and appliances when they are not in use, can save you up to £20 a year on your energy bills

3. Install a smart meter

Smart meters are a great way to keep control over your energy use, largely because they allow you to see where and when your gas and electricity is being used.

4. Consider switching energy supplier

No matter how happy you are with your current energy supplier, they may not be providing you with the best deals, especially if you've let a fixed-rate contract expire without arranging a new one. If you haven't browsed any alternative tariffs lately, then you may not be aware that there are better options out there.

However, Aydin Sigva, an expert in energy saving and insulation at , explained that the first thing that households need to do is make sure they have the right insulation in place.

He added that the majority of homes are full of places where valuable heat can escape - creating a kind of sieve effect.

"Cavity and loft insulation save a few hundred pounds a year each - loft insulation is usually cheaper so should be the first job you do," he said.

"If you’re a tenant, you’ll need the landlord to do it or get permission to do it yourself but its only worthwhile if you’re staying long-term as it’ll take a few years to get your money back in savings."
