BEAUT BARG

‘Never stop selling these’ shoppers scream about new £3.50 Primark buys that are perfect for soothing chapped lips

Cold winds in the winter months can strip the natural oils from your lips, leaving them vulnerable to cracking and drying out faster

BEAUTY buffs are racing to Primark for new buys that’ll soothe chapped lips all winter.

Winter air's low humidity causes moisture loss from your skin (including your lips) leading to dryness, cracking and chapping.

And while indoor heating keeps you warm, it also reduces humidity in the air, contributing further to chapped lips.

Primark’s two new products to combat this cosy season bugbear both cost £3.50.

Firstly, there’s the PS... Pro Peptide Lip Treatment.

This gel, which comes in a squeezy tube, contains shea butter and a peptide complex to hydrate, plump and soften.

The second product is the PS... Pro Intense Lip Mask.

This thick paste is enriched with Vitamin E and jojoba oil for firming and smoothing benefits.

Primark’s social media team took to Instagram to promote the new buys.

“Hydration is everything,” they penned.

Eagle eyed shoppers who have already managed to get their hands on the product flooded the comments section with their reviews.

“The lip mask is very good,” one penned.

, £32.50 DUPE: , £3.50 which is a saving of £29. The Natural Collection Bronzer comes in more shades, although it doesn’t have a mirror in the compact.

REAL: £35 DUPE: , £10. These two share a similar green hue, as well as the same long-wearing, mattifying properties - although, E.l.f’s is so popular it’s just as hard to get hold of.

REAL: , £28 DUPE: , £8.99. The shades of these two lipsticks are virtually identical on the lips, although while Charlotte Tilbury’s is matte, the L’Oreal Paris Lipstick has a satin finish - which actually makes it more comfortable if you’re wearing all day.

REAL: , £40 DUPE: , £6.99. While they don’t look alike from the outside, the formula, consistency and staying power of both foundations is pretty similar - unfortunately, the Collection only comes in 20 shades vs Estee Lauder's 60 options.

REAL: , £20 DUPE: £2.50. There’s a whole Reddit thread dedicated to this dupe, so you know it’s got to be good. They both have a waxy consistency and added fibres to make brows look fuller. I have to say, the shade range is far better with Boy Brow, but if you’re brunette, there’s plenty of Essence shade options to try.

This can lead to frequent licking, which then leads to more dryness - it’s a vicious cycle.

People often lick their lips when they feel dry, but saliva evaporates quickly, which can actually make lips drier.

The enzymes in saliva can also irritate the skin, worsening chapped lips.

Lips don’t have oil glands, unlike the rest of your skin, so they can’t produce moisture on their own.

As a result, they are more prone to becoming dry and chapped, especially in winter.
