‘Age doesn’t matter’ insists Turkish teenager dating ‘beautiful’ Scots granny – and his family already love her
A TURKISH teenager has defended his age gap relationship with a granny - insisting age doesn't matter when you're in love.
Hotel waiter Sefkan Güzel, 19, met Scottish grandmother Rachel McIntyre while she enjoyed a sunny two-month holiday in Marmaris this summer.
At 35, Rachel is 16 years older than her toyboy lover who is the same age as her 19-year-old daughter.
Sefkan said he was "shocked" when he discovered glam Rachel's real age but that they are both very happy in their relationship.
And she's even got the seal of approval from the teenager's friends and family.
Sefkan told the : "It doesn't matter to me about age, I love her so much and she is so beautiful, and that is all I care about.
"I didn't know she was older until she told me her age. I was shocked.
"We love each other very much and I see a future together. It's very hard not seeing her every day, and having her with me every day, but we always speak.
"All my friends and family like her so much and everyone is happy for me."
Praising his "beautiful" and youthful girlfriend, he added: "I liked her as soon as I spotted her and now we are so strong together. When we are together we always have fun and I like that. It makes us stronger."

But the 19-year-old did admit that he "finds it funny" that he is a stepdad and step-grandad at his age.
The teenager was working as a waiter at the hotel blonde nan Rachel was staying at and she confessed she spotted him ''right away'' due to his charming looks.
At first, after finding out that Seskan is under 20, the Scottish granny ''backed off'', since her daughter Beth is the same age and made her a grandmother at 24 after giving birth to baby Alaia in 2023.
Despite trying her best to resist the Turkish waiter, Rachel admitted that his ''persistent flirting'' eventually won her over.
''We spent all of his free time together and gradually fell in love,'' she told .
The blonde beauty - who previously confessed to being a swinger - said that she was also a bit hesitant since a Turkish waiter she dated in 2023 ''was clearly after a visa''.
''But Seskan is different – he's kind, clever, gentle, funny, and a wonderful lover. He never asked me for money and usually pays when we go out,'' she told the publication.
After the model flew back to the UK at the end of summer, the age-gap duo only strengthened their bong by video calling regularly.
In September, the 35-year-old returned to Turkey with her daughter Erika, 11, who she took out of school - which ''doesn't get fined'' in Scotland - to go on the holiday.
''It's a controversial situation, but it's made me happier than I could have ever imagined. I know there will be criticism for taking Erika out of school to visit my young lover, but I don't care,'' Rachel said.
According to the granny, the pair are already planning a romantic trip to Thailand in December.
Rachel, whose daughter Beth was initially quite sceptical about the couple due to the closeness in their age, told the young Romeo she doesn't want to have any more children.
As reported by the newspaper, the lovestruck waiter seems to agree on the decision too.
The mum-of-two, from Edinburgh, believes their love ''will stand the test of time'' - and reckons it helps that she looks younger than her years, since her and 19-year-old Beth often are mistaken for twins.
Rachel, who claims she regularly gets asked for ID when buying a drink, said last year: ''My daughter's only just turned 18 [after the birth], and I was very shocked when I found out she was pregnant.
''But once it sunk in, I started getting excited. I knew that I was obviously going to support her as well.
''People don't even believe I'm my daughter's mum. They look at me in complete shock when I tell them. They're like, "Wait, are you not sisters?" When I say I'm a granny too, it's even more of a shock.''

The content creator said that the biggest upside of being a young nan is that she's fit enough to do a lot of things with her granddaughter.
Speaking about any criticism, Rachel said that although she so far hasn't been judged, ''it will probably happen'' - but she's ''not bothered'' about what trolls may have to say.
