APPRENTICE star and West Ham United vice-chair Karren Brady answers your careers questions.
Here, Karren gives advice to a reader who is struggling to choose between two equally good job offers.
Q: I’m struggling to decide between two job offers, which is a great situation to be in, but is also really stressful!
One is a small start-up, but the environment and ethos is everything I’d want in a workplace.
The role would need me to socialise with clients – something I love and am good at.
However, it doesn’t match the salary or stability of the second job offer.

Take your time to weigh up the options and reflect on what you really want in your career.
Start by deciding what factors are most important to you right now and will have the greatest impact on your happiness.
Is it your work environment, growth potential, salary or job security?
Then think about where you see yourself in five to 10 years’ time.
Which job will help you get there?
A role that challenges you and allows you to grow could be more rewarding in the long run, even if it doesn’t come with the highest salary currently.
It’s also essential to evaluate the entire package, including benefits.
Talk to friends, family and colleagues you trust, as their insights can provide valuable perspectives.
But, ultimately, you need to trust your instincts.
And even if it turns out that you think you’ve made the wrong decision, you don’t have to be stuck in that job forever.
