A CELEBRITY make-up artist with years of skincare expertise under her belt has shared how you can achieve glass skin in your forties and beyond.
Kat James, 51, swears by a “really easy” routine tailored to mature skin that will “unglue” dead skin cells from your face to reveal a more radiant complexion.
Glass skin is a popular skincare goal that originated in South Korea, referring to skin that looks exceptionally smooth, clear, and luminous - almost as if it's made of glass.
And while achieving glass skin might feel arduous, Kat says it just takes one simple skincare routine change.
“The good news is that this is a really easy fix,” she tells.
According to Kat, who has one million followers on TikTok thanks to her sound skincare advice, the key to achieving glass skin is exfoliating.

“Our skin cells die,” she explains.
“They die on a 28 to 34 day cycle.
“But if you don’t remove those dead cells, they can cling and get stuck - almost like glued on - to your skin.
“They build up in layers and layers, and then they dull out the skin.”
Kat shared that there are two types of exfoliation to choose from, and both of them work equally as well for achieving glass skin.
They are manual exfoliation and chemical exfoliation.
Chemical exfoliation involves using acids or enzymes to dissolve the bonds between dead skin cells, allowing them to shed more easily.
