A PAIR of identical twins have revealed how they plan to share a boyfriend and live together as a “throuple”.

Sisters April and Amelia Maddison, who live on the Gold Coast in Australia, have shared everything from the minute they were born – from Barbies and bicycles to dresses and makeup; It has always just come naturally to them.

Now that they are all grown up, the 20-year-old twins are still incredibly close.

So close in fact, they have decided to share a boyfriend – that is, once they find the ‘perfect’ man.

Speaking to the twins explained that it would take a “special kind of someone” to fulfil their unique request.

“People say that twins being into the same person, or vice versa, is a kink, but both Amelia and I have the same taste in almost everything,” April said.

“We both find the same type of guy attractive and look for the same things in a boyfriend.

“We like guys who are tall, muscular, tatted and handsome. Most importantly, he must be kind, down to earth and with a good sense of humour.”

The women came to this decision after they both tried to have separate boyfriends in the past but claim their partners always grew jealous of their close bond.

Therefore, with just one boyfriend between them, the twins are confident this would not be an issue.

“When either of us had a boyfriend in the past, we found he initially was pleased to be dating a twin,” Amelia said.

“But then quickly became jealous because we spent so much time together, rather than alone with him.

I’m in a throuple and while going to bed is fun, it can be a nightmare too - our family call our romance an ‘abomination’

“We actually found it more fun and convenient when just one of us had a partner and we could spend time together, all three of us, chatting and going out.

“The guy himself wasn’t prepared to date a set of twins, but it gave us the idea of having just one boyfriend for both of us, instead of one each.”

April and Amelia said that while they are excited to go on dates and hang out together as a “throuple”, there is one activity that will remain separate.

“Our boyfriend will only ever engage with us sexually, one at a time,” April said.

“As we don’t share a bedroom, he will take it in turns being with each of us separately.

“Maybe half a week in one bed, and the next half in the other.”

While some in this situation may experience jealousy, the sisters are adamant that this would simply, “never happen”.

“We would never be jealous of one another. We are best friends and do everything as a duo,” April said.

“We have the same friends, go out together, and have the same taste in everything from fashion to travel destinations.

“We can’t imagine a situation when we would feel jealous of each other. It has never and would never happen.”

They even have the same taste in men, making their quest a whole lot easier.

“The best thing about this relationship would be moments we could all be together,” Amelia said.

“Walking on the beach, going shopping together. Hopefully he would be OK with carrying our bags.

“We’d love a man who is tall and handsome with tattoos. Other than that, they would need to have a great sense of humour with a kind heart.”

The pair have said that while they understand this situation is not for everyone, it is what they want and do not care what anyone thinks.

What is a throuple?

throuple is a romantic relationship involving three people.

Throuple is derived from the words "three" and "couple."

It can be any gender, all the same, or a mixture between men and women, in a committed relationship.

Polyamorous relationships can include any number of people while throuple refers to a relationship between three people.

Essentially, being in a polyamorous relationship means that a person and their partner have the option of dating other people.

Many polyamorous people don’t have a structured set-up. They simply have multiple romantic relationships, going with the flow as they meet new people.

Polyamorous relationships can be hierarchical or non-hierarchical.

In polyamory, a “hierarchy” means one relationship is prioritized above others.

“People tend to judge anyone or any situation they don’t understand,” Amelia said.

“They don’t need to. This suits us and our lifestyle.

“If we are all happy and not hurting anyone, nobody else’s opinions matter.”

Amelia and April have raked in over $8 million through online content creation over the last two years.

The young women recently snapped up a $6 million (£3 million) Gold Coast mansion known as “Bella Casa”, complete with a lavish pool house and commercial-grade cocktail bar.

They added that while many people sometimes feel the need to find a partner for the financial benefits, the twins have made all their own money and just want a man they can get along with.

“To be honest, we feel many couples choose to be together for the financial benefits as two incomes are better than one,” April added.

“We don’t have to worry about that as we have a great income already.

“I think many guys have the fantasy of being with identical twins for a night, but we really want someone who will fit in with us.

“He will also need to understand that while we will hang out in a group, sometimes the two of us need to be alone together as twin sisters.
