BOOTS will PAY you to throw away your rubbish, shoppers have claimed.
The health and beauty retailer runs a scheme where you can return make-up empties and baby wipe packets in exchange for cash to spend in store.
Every five items you return will earn you the equivalent of £5.
The only catch is you have to be an Advantage Card member to benefit from the scheme.
It’s all thanks to the Recycle at Boots scheme.
The planet-focused initiative allows shoppers to exchange empty beauty, health and dental items in-store that can't be recycled at home.

In return, and after a £10 shop and recycling a minimum of five products, you will receive £5 worth of Advantage Card points for free.
It might not seem a lot, but Money Saving Amy on Instagram has claimed that you can make your rubbish worth £20 by stacking the deal with cash back and other bonus points offers loaded to your Advantage Card.
You can return as many empties as you want, though no more than five each day.
If you did this once a month for a year, you could earn yourself £60 worth of loyalty points.

“Together with No7, we’re doing our bit to help keep our planet beautiful,” Boots bosses said.
“That’s why we created our Recycle at Boots scheme where you can bring your empty beauty, health, wellness and dental products, from any brand, that can’t be recycled at home.
“We know lots of these items can’t be recycled traditionally due to their size, what materials they’re made from and various other factors.
“We want to play our part in looking after the planet by making it easier to recycle items that might be difficult to recycle elsewhere.
“And we want to reward you for playing your part and making recycling part of your regime too.
“Feel good about yourself, do good for the planet and get treats along the way – everyone's a winner with our recycling scheme.”
Step-by-Step Guide to Sign Up for the Scheme
- You can download the Recycle at Boots app or use the Recycle at Boots third-party website
- Scan your five products and upload them onto the app or site at home
- Wait for the products to be approved, then take your empties into a participating Boots store
- Scan the QR code on the deposit box and drop your empties in
- You will then have to spend £10 in-store to receive 500 Advantage Card Points (equivalent to £5!)
Last month, Boots issued a major update on its store closure plans after previously announcing that 300 shops would shut for good.
The chain announced last year that it would close hundreds of branches as part of a plan to reduce its store count.

In a fresh update, Boots UK told The Sun that over 290 stores have now shut as part of these plans.
This means that fewer than 10 stores are still scheduled to close before the company completes its extensive closure programme.
