IT was a must-have product last Christmas, and is used daily by influencers trying to get a big, bouncy blow dry.

But one hairdresser has sparked controversy with her "unpopular opinion", as she insisted the Dyson Airwrap isn't all it's made out to be.

Claire took to TikTok to share her "unpopular opinions" as a hairdresser, including her true opinion of the Dyson Airwrap

Claire to share her list, as she began with the provocative statement: "The Dyson Airwrap is s**t.

"Sorry, not sorry!

"A Babyliss £19.99 hot brush can do the same thing."

And the Airwrap wasn't the only product Claire took aim at in the TikTok.

"Olaplex is s**t," she added, without going into further detail.

She also insisted that the "hair gummies" and "horse shampoo" that pop up so often on social media "don't work".

And went on to insist that Cloud Nine straighteners are "better" than cult favourite GHD".

She doesn't consider curling with straighteners to be a "curly blowdry" however, and warned against using too much purple shampoo if you're blonde - as it can "make your hair dull".

When it comes to things she would recommend, Claire said some cheap shampoos - often slated by other hairdressers - are "actually good for your hair".

"They aren't all bad!" she said, before adding the caveat: "Only some".

Claire also revealed that she won't use a permanent tint when her clients aren't grey, as she added: "A semi is so much easier to lift if the client ever wants to go lighter".

And for those who go to her when they need an issue from a previous salon corrected or fixed, Claire won't accept any "b**ching" or "slandering" of other hairdressers, insisting it's "not OK",

She concluded her rundown of unpopular opinions by revealing that the only way to repair hair that's damaged is to cut off the bit that's affected.

"A conditioning mask isn't going to repair your hair if your hair is stretchy/chewing gum," she stated.

Despite Claire listing her thoughts as unpopular opinions, there were a large number of people in the comments section who agreed with her.

"People are FR sleeping on that hot brush," one wrote.
