A WOMAN has issued an urgent warning after being left with grey hair when someone swapped the hair dye bottles at the shop.
Dusti explained that she had wanted to pick up some hair dye at the store, and chose the box which looked the closest to the colour she wanted.
However, it wasn't until she had applied the mixture and washed it off that she realised she'd been the victim of a cruel prank.
"To the person that swapped the colour in the box dye at Walmart, you're an a**hole," she said in a
" I could not have gotten my hair this colour if I tried. Couldn't have gotten my hair this colour if I tried!
"It's not a freaking colour that I would have ever dyed my hair."

"This is not funny. I'm not laughing."
"Whoever switched the box due I bought with grey, you're an a**hole," Dusti wrote which showed her with grey locks.
"I didn't even use a blonde," she explained in response to someone else's comment.
"I was trying to make it match the brown highlights that I've got in my extensions."
People were quick to comment on the video, with one writing: "My mum always told me to make sure the dye code on bottle matches the box code.
"I think this happened to my grandma or something at one point lol."
"As a retail manager it’s so easy to do the switch and get a more expensive colour in a cheaper box," another added.
"I caught people doing it several times!"
How can you make sure the dye in the box is the colour you want?
- Check the numbers - each bottle of dye should have a number on it, which should correspond with the number on the box
- Brand safe - the bottle will also usually have the brand name on it, so double check that's the same as the box says
- Name game - It might sound silly but lots of bottles have the name of the colour on the front of it. So if you're expecting a light brown and the tube says black, you might want to triple check it's the right one before applying it
"I have had that happen and have also had the developer missing!!" a third commented.
"I always thought that was impossible too but when I bought my dye the cashier, she opened it and says that people steal the dye or switch them out," someone else wrote.
With Dusti replying: "Crazy. Most aren't even sealed with a sticker."
"This is why I always make sure the tube in the box has the right colour number on it before I mix it," another added.
"This is my worst nightmare lol!"

"I didn’t even know this was a thing," Dusti responded.
"I rarely dye my hair!"
