A WOMAN has revealed how she is making her dream of travelling to Asia and Australia a reality by turning £10 into £500 on eBay.
Savvy Sophie, 24, who lives in Durham, said she scours car boot sales for bargain items, and then resells them on eBay for a profit.
And she didn’t need a huge sum of cash to get started, as she only used £10 to buy her first items.
Sophie, who works with children as a practitioner in a nursery, showed how she picked up items such as trainers, PS3s and mugs to sell.
She then told followers on her account how she hoped to sell them for a profit.
For example, she listed the £2 car boot sale Vans trainers for £10 on eBay and the £2 PS3 for £25 (for spare parts).

Speaking to Fabulous, Sophie explained: “I invest the money I make every week so I started with £10 and then made £70.”
The money-saving whizz then invested the £70 back in to buy more items to make an even large profit.
Typically she heads to car boot sales every Sunday to find bargain items to list on eBay.
Sophie has been updating followers with her progress and just managed to hit her target of £500.

She admitted she is now tempted to keep going and invest that £500 into getting more stock so she can hit her target of £1,000.
Sophie added: “I am saving to go travelling next year for four to six months to south east Asia / Australia / New Zealand.
“You don’t need a lot of money to start with.
“You can start by selling your own things you have at home and then invest using that money.”
Sophie advised people wanting to make more cash to “just got for it”, and shared her top tips.
She explained: “Watch lots of videos on social media of other resellers to get ideas on the best things to pick up.
