‘Finally someone said it’ people cry as Kelly Hoppen shares popular interior trend she ‘hates’ & finds ‘hideous’
AN interior designer has revealed the common trend she can't stand, so are you guilty of it?
You might think you're helping your home look more posh if you've ever tried it out, but as far as Kelly Hoppen is concerned it's a huge no-no.
The trend is the finishing touch to a clean home for many and involves using the side of your straight hand to 'chop' the centre of the pillow, creating a dent.
Talking to TikTok, the interiors whizz explained why she absolutely hates the chopped cushion craze.
In a viral video, Kelly is asked why she doesn't like the trend and looking exhausted by the question alone, she pro demonstrated why it's not for her.
"That is hideous," she said, showing a black and white cushion that had been 'chopped' in the middle.

Kelly then smoothed out the cushion while still ensuring it stayed plump and up-right.
"That is perfection," she said.
In another clip, the interior designer walked around a room fixing all the freshly chopped cushion to her liking.
"Had to be done, as long as I'm in the room there won't be a chopped cushion in sight," she captioned the clip.
It turns out she's not the only one who hates the trend either, as one person commented: "Totally agree, chopped cushions look ridiculous."
"People who chop cushions have 'live, laugh, love' signs above their sofa," a second said.
"Kelly knows best," a third wrote, "chopping should be left to chefs in the kitchen."
"Yes! this has always annoyed me, I've found my people," another said.
Meanwhile, others mused where the trend started, with many suggesting it came from Mrs Hinch.
"I've never understood the chopped cushions. Mrs Hinch was the first person I saw doing it, it looks like someone has sat in it," one said.
"Everything Mrs Hinch started was so tacky," another slammed.
Of course, some people confessed they love a chopped cushion - despite what the interior designer might have to say.

"I'm guilty of this, I think it looks better. Sorry!!!" one wrote.
And another agreed: "I won't stop doing this, they look better in my opinion."
Trends interior designers hate
IF you want to ensure that your home looks glam, here are the trends that interior designers can't stand.
NO YELLOW: According to Bilal Rehman, yellow paint in a bedroom is a big no no.
He said: “If you want everyone to know you're a horse girl then yellow is perfect for you.”
SIGN OFF: Kelly Hoppen shared her honest thoughts on Live, Love, Laugh signs.
The interior pro explained: “Another gripe of mine - Live, Laugh, Love - those kinds of wooden things that sit on book shelves and floating shelves, that’s so 10, 12, 15 years ago.”
NO GREY YAY: Julie Provenzano explained that grey interiors have been overdone.
She stressed: “We took a good thing and we overdid it to the point that it now feels copy, paste, basic.”
