A MUM with nine children has revealed how she made more space at her home to make sure each of her kids has enough space.

Danielle, from the UK, took to social media to show off the annex she turned into a bedroom after clearly running out of space in the main home.

In the clip, she said: "POV you build a bedroom in the garden coz you had too many children."

She showed the empty shell of the annex in the garden - with cement floors and wooden building structure before transforming it into a dream bedroom.

The mum announced that the annex would be for her second eldest daughter so she could have some more privacy and had received planning permission for the new building.

"We built a Granny annex for our daughter," she captioned the post.

Danielle then showed the annex in all it's glory and the completed look.

While it was totally empty to start with, the mum managed to section off the annex into three rooms including a bathroom, walk-in wardrobe and the bedroom.

The bedroom was still empty as her daughter was yet to move her stuff in but was kitted out with a double bed and desk.

The walk in wardrobe had built-in shelves and rails from top to bottom to make the most of the space.

To the left of the wardrobe was her daughter's private bathroom kitted out with a shower, sink and toilet.

It was decorated using gorgeous grey slate tiles for a modern feel.

Danielle added that they would be installing a kettle and air fryer into the room as well in case her daughter wanted to make food inside.

The clip soon went viral on her TikTok account @with over three million views and over 395k likes.

People were quick to ask for more details in the comments and praise the mum for the tiny home transformation.

One person wrote: "But are you not tempted to leave the kids in the house and you move into there."

Tiny Homes FAQs

The tiny house movement began in the USA before gaining popularity in the UK.

What is a tiny home?

Tiny houses are small, fully-equipped living spaces designed to lead a more sustainable, off-grid lifestyle. Although they vary in size and shape, tiny homes tend to be between 15 and 50 square metres in capacity, made of sustainable materials and are easier — and cheaper — to maintain than traditional brick homes.

Are tiny homes legal in the UK?

As long as the tiny house doesn't exceed 19.8m x 6.7m in size, it is defined as a caravan in UK law. Therefore, tiny houses are classed as legal additional living space.

Can you get a mortgage for a tiny home?

The small size and relatively low cost of tiny houses means they’re not generally considered eligible for a mortgage. However, there are plenty of options to take out a loan to fund your dreams of the perfect, moveable home.

"Absolutely!" Danielle replied.

Another commented: "I hope this goes to the eldest."

Danielle explained: "Second eldest, the oldest has a flat on side of house."

"That kid is extremely lucky," penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: "I would love this, I’d wanna add a little kitchen though in case it’s raining so I ain’t gotta walk to the house to get food."

"Dream bedroom,” claimed a fifth.
