TRYING out a new hairstyle before you head off to work is always a bit of a risky move.
That's what one woman found out when she decided to try out a viral hair hack - and the results left people in stitches.
Sally Marie decided to follow an overnight vintage hair tutorial late one night when she had to be at work bright and early the next day.
But the hair hopeful was feeling good about it all when she wrapped her locks in tight curls and went to sleep.
By the next morning things weren't looking quite so promising, but with no time to spare Sally continued unravelling each curl from her head.
"7:15am and it's not looking good," she captioned a photo of her tresses still in tight ringlets on top of her head.

fifteen minutes later and the hair situation had only worsened by brushing out the curls.
"7:30am Brushing didn't help. What have you done?!" She captioned the next photo with her silver locks looking larger than life.
But Sally saw the funny side of the hair fail, and noted that her new style reminded her of someone.
She then shared a picture of Cloudesley Shovell, a Navel officer from the 1600s with strikingly similar locks.

For that matter, Sally reckoned her new do looked like any bloke from the same time period.
"Mayhaps?" she joked sharing another picture of her style fail in on socail media.
Luckily, Sally wasn't the only one who thought the ordeal was pretty funny and her video quickly went viral and currently has over one million views on TikTok.
One person commented on the clip: "When you have work at 8 and have to address parliament at 9."
A second said: "You look grand, my lord."
"It's not often I genuinely LOL at TikToks these days, but I just choked laughing," a third wrote.
"I gave myself a headache from laughing," someone else commented on the clip.
And another said: "You should've called your ladies in waiting to help!"
