My 3 techniques will reduce ‘pregnancy nose’ – you can do them all at home, a finger trick is totally free
PREGNANCY causes an array of changes in a woman's body, but some find it's more than their belly getting bigger.
From bigger feet to a larger waistline, there is one area that's often forgotten — the nose.
The so-called "pregnancy nose" is no match for Angela Rosoff, who is a face yoga instructor on the app .
Face yoga is a technique that promotes lymphatic drainage from the neck up.
By giving lymphatic fluids a nudge, those who practice can experience less bloating and swelling in the body.
Rosoff revealed her top three facial exercises for a slimmer schnoz.

HOW IT'S DONE
Rosoff's first technique won't break the bank as it doesn't require any tools.
Her "finger pressure nasal compression" simply requires using the hands to move excess fluid out.
"This technique helps reduce nasal swelling, improve blood flow, and relieve sinus pressure," she said.
Rosoff starts with cleansing her face before applying a "light facial oil or serum."

Next, she gets into position by pressing her index fingers on either side of her nose.
"Start the compression," she said. "Place your fingers at the base of your nose, near the nostrils.
"Compress and release. Gently press the sides of your nose together and hold for two to three seconds, then release."
She then repeats the process 10 to 15 times, finishing off by massaging around the nose in soft, circular motions.

Rosoff also recommends a rose quartz gua sha for "nose contouring."
"This technique helps reduce puffiness, improves circulation, cools the increased blood flow to the nose during pregnancy, and promotes lymphatic drainage," she said.
"Rose quartz has natural cooling properties, which help soothe the skin and reduce inflammation, making it ideal for reducing puffiness around the nose."
What is 'pregnancy nose?'
According to The Cleveland Clinic, "pregnancy nose" is caused by rhinitis, also known as nasal congestion. It can cause the appearance of a swollen nose. While the cause of "pregnancy nose" isn't certain, some medical experts say it may be due to hormone fluctuations that occur during pregnancy.
The technique starts off with cleansing and adding an oil or serum, using the tool to glide from the nostrils towards the bridge.
She applies light pressure and repeats the process 10 to 15 times.
"Use the gua sha to massage the rest of your face for overall relaxation and lymphatic drainage," she added to finish up.
Her third method requires an amethyst facial roller.
"This technique helps in reducing swelling, detoxifying the skin, cooling the blood flow to the tip of the nose, and enhancing circulation," she said.
"Amethyst is known for its cooling and calming properties, which help reduce inflammation and provide a soothing effect to the skin."

After cleansing and applying a serum or facial oil, she glides the roller from the base of her nose up the side and to the bridge, repeating the process five to 10 times.
"Use the roller on other parts of your face to complete your facial massage," she added.
