THIN skin and big eye sockets are a tricky combination for disguising dark under-eye circles — but one woman found a fix. 

The 50-year-old said a few changes made a "dramatic" difference and broke down her skin-saving routine.

The woman — who specified that she had Danish ancestry — noted the ways in which her skin and facial structure posed a problem.

“I have big eye sockets and thin skin so my under eyes are noticeably darker due to structural shadows and thin pale skin,” she said, writing on Reddit under the handle .

But she learned some habits — and products — that make a difference.

“Cutting out alcohol and caffeine has helped immensely," she said.

“I also have an LED mask and I noticed the red light does help a bit.”

She revealed that her under-eyes also improved when she began to use an acne medication proven to have anti-aging benefits.

She said slathering her skin in a “super fine layer of petroleum jelly,” also known as slugging, is a staple in her nighttime routine. 

“I use tretinoin, and the days that I slug my under eyes look better,” she said. 

“And I always use otc [over-the-counter] nasal steroids like Flonase. If I forget any of these I see the difference.”

RELATABLE PROBLEM

The tips proved helpful for another Redditor who'd asked how to get rid of dark circles under their eyes.

“[That] creates worse shadows and, combined with thin skin, it makes them look much worse.

“I don't really drink alcohol or caffeine as they make me feel ill, but if I do occasionally, they get much worse!

“Nasal steroids might be a good route.”

SIMPLE HABITS

Petroleum jelly is readily available in beauty stores, and reducing alcohol and caffeine consumption can be done gradually.

However, according to , tretinoin, a derivative of vitamin A, requires a doctor’s prescription.
