A WOMAN was left crying for days after a disastrous trip to her local salon.
She explained that she ended up with a completely different haircut to what she asked for, leading to her having to fix it herself.
Olivia Day shared the entire journey with her followers, documenting her initial reaction to the eventual resolution.
The native New Yorker said that she had brought a reference picture to the salon.
According to Olivia, she only wanted a small trim to her blonde locks, which reached just below her jawline.
However, the hairdresser veered from the reference material, leaving the producer with "the worst haircut."

In her video, Olivia removed her beanie hat to reveal the botched haircut.
The stylist had chopped her locks in an uneven line, which ended around her ears.
"I got the worst haircut of my life in New York City at a high-end salon," she told her followers.
She explained that her friends had recommended the salon to her.

"It looks like I hacked it myself, I took a hacksaw and I was like, you're done," Olivia said.
"I said: 'You can fix this, right?' and he's cutting and cutting and all of a sudden he asks what I think, and I'm like: 'Oh my God.'"
She demanded a refund from the stylist after realising what had happened, which thankfully she was given before returning home to fix the hairdo.
"I said they had to refund my money, and I've got to go, they said: 'Yes, of course.' They refund me and I'm out of there, I ran home," Olivia recalled.
"I literally just took scissors and I somehow cut it straight and layered it up watching YouTube videos."
Olivia joked that she was defeated by Edward Scissorhands before discovering the power of online tutorials and a pair of kitchen scissors.
She managed to salvage her unfortunate haircut, leaving her with a style slightly closer to what she had asked for to being with.
Hair growth tips
Making small changes to your daily routine can help to boost your hair growth.
- Avoid restrictive dieting: Restricting your food intake can decrease resources and nutrients needed for hair growth.
- Assess your protein intake: Experts recommend consuming 50 grams of protein or more per day.
- Essential oils: Oils such as jojoba, rosemary, lavender, and peppermint help to promote hair growth.
- Indulge in a scalp massage: As well as promoting relaxation and relieving stress, massaging can help boost the health of your hair.
- Hold the heat: Using heat, especially every day, will cause damage and even breakage.
Olivia joked that her hair went from a "shiz cut to a rizz cut."
Her TikTok followers shared their thoughts on the situation in the comments section.
"Your end result is MUCH closer to the inspiration than what the salon did," pointed out one viewer.
