A FEW unconventional beauty techniques can help you on your way to getting that youthful glow, according to a skincare brand owner.
David Connor said several natural ingredients can be used to make face masks— but they aren’t the only quirky treatments to slow skin aging.
Connor is the CEO of the British skincare brand , which sells products designed to improve complexion and are available globally.
Speaking to The U.S. Sun, he shared tips for looking younger.
MIRACULOUS METHODS
Connor said “unconventional” beauty treatments can be done at home alongside traditional skincare routines.
Among his recommendations are “simple yet effective” facial massages that increase blood circulation, promote lymphatic drainage, reduce puffiness, and improve skin tone.

You can also turn to your kitchen for ingredients that can transform your complexion.
“DIY face masks using natural ingredients like honey, avocado, and yogurt can provide hydration and nourishment to the skin, thanks to their rich nutrient profiles,” he said.
“Green tea compresses, using cooled tea bags applied to the eyes, can reduce puffiness and refresh the skin due to green tea's anti-inflammatory properties.
“These home remedies, alongside a consistent skincare routine, can help maintain a youthful complexion and support overall skin health.”

FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH
Several key ingredients should be used alongside sunscreen in daily skincare routines.
“Retinoids, such as retinol, are crucial," Connor said.
"They stimulate collagen production and accelerate cell turnover, which helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles."
Vitamin C is important, too.
“It acts as a powerful antioxidant, brightening the skin, evening out skin tone, and protecting against free radical damage,” he added.
For hydrated and plump skin, he said hyaluronic acid is a “valuable humectant” as it attracts moisture.
Peptides support skin structure and elasticity by promoting collagen production.

Peptides should be routinely used to support the skin structure and elasticity while promoting collagen production.
“Niacinamide, or vitamin B3, is beneficial for reducing inflammation, improving skin elasticity, and strengthening the skin barrier,” he said.
“Additionally, antioxidants like green tea extract protect the skin from environmental damage and help reduce signs of aging.

“Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is another excellent addition.
"It's known for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which soothe irritated skin, promote healing, and maintain a healthy skin barrier.”
