And the mum-of-two swears by it for killing any germs her children may have picked up when they're out and about.

She said: "I love that’s it’s an antiseptic and kills germs so love to use it if the kids have been at soft play or at the park and need a right good scrub lol.

"Dettol baths are amazing for your baby (after nine months old). Use a few capfuls to wash away any bacteria and especially amazing for the days where you visit a soft play or if your kids are sick.

"It's part of our ritual if the kids are at any play areas to kill all those nasty germs."

Dee has since gone viral on TikTok () after sharing her Dettol bath hack, with the clip racking up 164,000 views.

Alongside the video, she said: "I genuinely can’t believe there's people out there that don't know Dettol baths are safe and highly recommended.

"Check the back of the bottle before you come for me OKAY.";

But she has still been inundated with hateful messages from people claiming she will make her kids sick if she keeps doing it.

One person fumed: "I’m sorry but absolutely not. Chemical baths for what??

"Germs believe it or not are important! You’re going to ruin your kids immune system and they will catch EVERYTHING. Cancer is the first thing that comes to mind."

'This is going too far' people cry as mum-of-four reveals 'absolutely disgusting' truth about her kids' bathing habits

A second echoed: "Surely some germs are good or they will never build up their immune system, doc once told me it’s best to let them have colds etc early so their immune system is stronger."

A third added: "They need to be around germs to strengthen there immune system tho? This will just make them really poorly when they do get a germ."

"I'd rather not irritate my toddler's skin. Or eyes for that matter", blasted a fourth.

A fifth wrote: "Yeah destroy their immune system why not!! Go for it."

And a sixth cried: "Omg nooo! Soap and warm water will removed anything bad on the skin. Dettol is full of chemicals. Please don’t bathe in this."

Hitting back at trolls, Dee told Fabulous: "I think a lot of people don’t know that you can actually use Dettol in a bath. People automatically think that’s it’s bleach and shouldn't be put in the bath.

"I get a lot of comments saying that it will make my kids sick as it will ruin their immune system but one bath a week is actually really beneficial for them.

"Whenever they get sick I put them in a Dettol bath and I find it clears their sickness up so much faster."

WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY

Bosses at Dettol say their liquid antiseptic can be used for first aid, medical and personal hygiene.

Wound cleansing: Wash the affected area with two and a half tea spoons (12.5ml) of Dettol liquid diluted in 1/2 pint (1/4 litre) water. Cover with dry gauze or lint.

Personal hygiene/douching: When medically advised: Two teaspoons (10mls) in 2 pints (1L) water.

Dandruff: One tablespoon in 1pt (1/2 L) warm water. Pour over scalp. Leave for 10 minutes before shampooing.

Spots and pimples: One tablespoon (15ml) in 1/2 pint (1/4 litre) of warm water. Bathe affected area daily. If contact is made with eyes, wash them thoroughly with cold water. If swallowed, wash out mouth and drink plenty of water or milk. In both cases, consult a doctor and take this bottle with you.

To feel refreshed and really clean, 30ml of Dettol Liquid may also be used safely in the bath

They warn you should not use Dettol Liquid on eczema or similar dry skin conditions, if you are allergic to choroxylenol or other ingredients, after the expiry date printed on the bottle, or in undiluted form.

She added: "My 4 year old has been having them since nine months and she’s perfectly fine.

"She rarely gets sick and when she does it never lasts long. I believe it’s due to Dettol baths."

And other parents have jumped to Dee's defence, revealing that they also swear by Dettol baths.

"I put liquid Dettol in me and my sons baths AND use Dettol bar soap on top of that nobody can stop me", revealed one.

A second wrote: "I’m 48 and my parents every Sunday gave us Dettol baths and my kids and gran babies have them so fresh."

A third added: "We always had Dettol in our baths when we were wee. I still like the smell of it lol."

A fourth chimed in: "I’ve been having Dettol baths since a baby now my baby gets them and the smell brings back so many memories."

Meanwhile, a fifth said: "Omg whenever I told people I would have a Dettol bath they would literally laugh at me! Glad I ain't the only one."

We told earlier how Dettol die-hard Dee uses a bottle a day and spends £120 a month on the disinfectant.

Explaining her love for the product, she said: ";I love the smell of it and have it lingering all over the house, it’s amazing.

"People say they can smell it off my clothes and presence before I even come close with them.

"I always get comments off the postman and delivery men saying they can smell it before I open my front door."

She added: "It’s got to the point I walk into a shop, and if it sells it I can’t walk out without buying a bottle.

"My friend made me up a huge hamper as a present with lots of different size bottles of it and it’s the best gift I’ve ever received. It made me so happy."
