The statement, made in the show’s diary room, became an iconic meme across the country that people still quote eight years later.

In an interview with make-up brand BPerfect Cosmetics, Gemma, 43, was asked to address some of her iconic TV one liners.

And she confessed that she “still stands by” her controversial beauty rule.

Fans of The GC weighed in that they still watch the clip of her “iconic diary room scene” when they need a giggle.

“When I'm in a bad mood I always watch that clip and feel better,” one joked.

“I quote this like a lip sync - same tone and everything,” a second said.

Gemma made the hilarious admission after her “very expensive” hair extensions were “frazzled” by the straighteners provided in the CBB house.

“This is very expensive hair,” she cried in the diary room at the time.

“It’s f*****g frazzled because you’ve only got straighteners in here.

“You haven’t got heated rollers.
